I really could use some help...... Idk what i did wrong

i have a small grow room, and its an alright set up.... but i think i may have stunted my plants..... i started off with 3 from seed..... they we're lookin pretty for about the first 10 weeks, but after that no major growth in height......i think it may have been that i started 2 jobs around then and may have neglected my babies... but i tried to water them every day and the only plant food i can afford is miracle grow, i use the stakes and the powder mix. umm i also mist them with bubbly water.they get 20 hours of light a day, and i use a florescent grow light i got at walmart with one bulb thats kinda purple, and a florescent lamp w/ 2 bulbs. if i get a couple replies i'll upload pics.
im really new at this, and most of what i know is off this site and Youtube =P

srry if i sound high............................................... cause i am:leaf:

im open to any advice, but u gotta remember im on a budget =D

why are you watering everyday?

you need to be giving them more water less often.

Water until about 1/3 of what you put in comes out the bottom, then dont water again until completly dry,

get use to picking up your pots and tell if they need water by the weight of the pot.

I'd like to know the wattage also.. pics would be a plus also if you can.. not being a asshole but this hobby isn't cheap if you want good results man.. plus you need more light like everyone has mentioned lol keep us posted !

iM A NEWBI ALSO ON MY FIRST GROW.. fOR THE FIRST 4 WEEKS IN VEGGING i ONLY HAD 1-2' 75 WATT GROW LIGHT AND IT SEVERLY STUNTED MY BABIES GROWTH.. i JUST RECENTLY PUT 4-26WATT CFL'S 2,700K ON THEM 8 DAYS AGO AND MAN I SEE A BIG DIFFERENCE.. I SPENT A TOTAL OF 44 BUCKS FOR THE BULBS AND REFLECTIVE SHIELDS FROM WALMART.. They have grown 3-5 inches in length and 2-4 inches in width in 8 days, plus now im getting the new bottom growth..

as far as watering, i only water every 4-5 days or untill the soil looks dry and crusty, your plants look over watered to me..

What kind of soil you using? Im just using Miracle Grow moisture control potting mix for mine (from walmart) and I have used any nutes at all, because the miracle grow has enough for 6 months..

My stems also looked like yours (the 4th picture) until i moved them in 5 gallon white buckets from walmart and buried them all the way up to the first set of ''true'' leaves.. I also added a small fan blowing directly on them to toughen up the stems.

Everything I have learned has been from this site!! hope it helps and anymore questions just ask!! happy token my friend!! ROLLITUP ROCKS FOR INFORMATION!

You definitely need to get some better lights. 17w???? That is far too weak. Remember you need to go by ACTUAL wattage not equivalent wattage. That's where most people make their mistake with CFL's.

You need to also get those MG spikes out of the soil. You're killing your plants. You definitely need to flush as soon as possible. If it were me I would run to the nearest nursery and purchase some decent soil and transplant. To get good growth you need at least 100W per plant. Actual watts. Some people say 50 to 75 watts per plant. To get good results it's best to stick with the 100 watts per plant. Another thing, those water globes are a really bad idea. They don't even work well with regular house plants. Those globes cannot possibly hold the amount of water your plants will need.

thanks for the advice, i went out and got some 100W CFL's!!!!!!! they seem awesome! we'll see on a few days!! I'm going to get some 5gal buckets and trans plant them soon!!!! i iwill post more pics when i get everything set up!!!! thanks so much for the advice!!!!!!

Make sure you are using ACTUAL wattage as Carne Seca stated, For example: 26watt CFL=100WATT incandescent (regular house hold, old style).. The biggest CFL I seen at my walmart are the 26 watt 2700k bulb, which it would take 4 bulbs per plant to reach ''perfect'' for CFL growth.. 104 watts total!!

Hope this helps!

wow those plants are small for 10 weeks? now are you counting from then you first put the seed into the paper towel? if so then nvm but if your counting from cotyledons then those plants are slow. probably have to do with your shitty lighting add like 4 more cfls
