What are your thoughts about IR light with Cannabis flowering? Near 940nm is an option with my security camera - do you think it will cause issues in flowers if I leave it enabled?"

In short, no. Even with sensitive cannabis species, security cameras with an 840 nm peak output do not have a high enough output to affect phytochrome and development. See the attached article.

It should be noted that these measurements were made with a floodlight, which represents a much higher flux of photons compared to the photon flux of a security camera–although, floodlights can be used in controlled environment settings. Additionally, most plants would not be within one meter of the NIR LEDs. By a distance of about 3 m, the photon flux from these LEDs drops to about one μmol m-2 s -1, which is likely too low to have any noticeable effects.
Total photon flux density from an NIR LED floodlight as a function of distance. These measurements were made directly below the floodlight at increasing distances, and they follow the inverse square law. Although photons from NIR LEDs have the potential to affect plant growth and development, intensities are likely too low to have an effect in practical settings–especially on less photosensitive species.

I have a Wyze camera in my grow tent - which is maybe 3' away from my closest plant, or closer. It outputs 940nm - and there is a lot of discussion if this (especially being so close) can cause herm in a cannabis plant in flower. Do you think the camera being so close can have a negative impact? attached is a photo of the distance of the camera to the plants - as they grow they will move closer.

There is no evidence of an effect on Hermies, especially at 940 nm.
And you are not using a parking lot spot light NIR light source.
