I paid my wife's friend with weed to help and she sends us this pic...

I'll describe what I have going on first. I don't use any pesticides or sprays of any kind, so I would assume that other people would appreciate it but it don't look like it. She must have picked a winner because I didn't find spider web in the rest of the weed that I have. This is my first outdoor harvest and I thought that it went pretty well, but should I expect this and how does a dispensary see this? I mean, it's a spider and not spider mites or rot. I just feel like I cannot win here. It was Pineapple fields from Dynasty seeds and it smelled like Cherry Ludens, I was proud of this! Really, I think that it is a combination of her boyfriend hating on us and the fact that people from Oklahoma don't know shit about weed or the process of growing it. Apparently, they threw it all in the trash and asked for cash next time. Probably won't happen...

Damn that sucks that happened to you. I hear a lot of out door growers here wash their buds in a mix of hydrogen peroxide and water before hanging to dry. Maybe that would have caught this but I am really not sure.

My wife was trying to tell me this, but it makes me cringe to think about it though. How would a dunk remove spider webbing from the interior of the plant? I'm not trying to be a smart ass, just trying to figure this out.
I think the h2O2 helps with that and you dunk and swirl it around in a 5 gallon bucket, so hopefully the water and h2o2 dislodge the "spider glue" for lack of a better term and then it comes off when swirling. I as well have never had the balls to dunk my fresh buds in a giant pail of water but a lot of very successful growers on here swear by it, I am an indoor growerr though. Also they say once you see what comes off your buds in the water you will never go back.

h2o2 wash will neutralize fungal spores (wont was away rot already growing) and rinse off contaminates. Spider webs are tough because they're sticky, and since its on the inside of the bud makes it hard to get rid of in the wash. From what I understand spider webbing is pretty sterile, she could have easily taken all of it off with her fingers especially with those claws lol. I have tons of spiders in the garden.I wash my harvest in h2o2 and it does get rid of all sorts of nasty things. Obviously any left over webbing that I see ill pick out with tweezers but if you grow in large amounts you'll miss a few without a doubt.

Are you talking to me now? I don't have anything against you, but I tried to talk to you before and you never respond, so I blocked you a while back. Not that I disliked you or anything, just didn't want to waste time on a no-response. Sorry, I'll unblock you now.

I washed all of my outdoor harvest this year and I don't regret it one bit! Very clean smoke and with all the ash deposit here in Cali, it was well worth it. That said, I did find two buds that had this exact spiderweb stuff in them. I cut it/picked it out. If your taking the time to properly trim your buds, you should be able to spot this stuff ahead of time, IMO.

My homie dunked his outdoor for the first time this year and that's exactly what he said. It was actually pretty nasty lol.

Oh sorry I go for stints not on the forum sometimes lol was not trying to ignore you or anything. I actually started trying a lot of the techs you were talking about a while back with bokashi as well as em1 in the rez. I dont know that I was ever able to get it correct though. Might try it again this next go round. Again sorry man was not trying to ignore.
