I need meds-

I'm having a hell of a time finding anything worth using.

Been to dispensaries, clubs, markets and the product they're selling is NOT medicine.

The last couple of bags I bought weren't even half assed cured. So I guess I'll try again in a month or 2 in the jar. But damn, I need something NOW...

Beginning to think it was a mistake to even bother with buying a card-

My cards only use is having the papers to put on the grow room door. It would cost me $200-$400 at the dispensary for just enough to last the month. It makes no sense to me that we hand our script to someone allowing them to grow more plants and get rooked when we want some!

I can't believe you aren't finding anything at the Farmers Market. Granted I have only been to a few myself as I just got my AZ card, but I am coming from California and have been able to satisfy my needs there each time from several vendors. I was at 2 of the last 3 on Thomas road and they were solid. Some vendors are a little iffy but if you take your time and walk around, you will find something. Like I said I have been happy myself and my standards are very high. Not so much at the dispensaries though.

Very disappointed at the dispensaries I have visited and really have no intention of trying anymore as long as the farmers market is around. The prices are so out of control at the dispensaries here which I am not going take part of at all.

Oh, I'd love to build a new grow room and get busy-

Problem is, I have a family to support, and can't take a chance on going to jail...

Agreed... I went to the last farmer's market on Sat on Thomas... the meds were better than the dispensaries, and cheaper... so I will not be going to dispensaries anymore.

I was at the last glendale market. I looked at every table, and it all looked like crap. I guess I should have known, considering it's not quite harvest season yet, so the bud for sale was grown in the heat of summer. Add to that, a lot of amateur growers that don't understand the curing process and chances of finding truly medicinal Cannabis are zero.

I guess I expect higher quality, being a journeyman grower since the 80's. And with my asthma, I just can't smoke joint after joint trying to relax.

I need some 1 hit, sparkling funk- which I have yet to find in Arizona...

I hear ya. I was at that Glendale one a few weeks ago and it's about 1/3 of the size of the one on Thomas Rd. Several of the vendors do both and I found the guys I hooked up with at the previous one on Thomas Rd so I didn't have a problem being taken care of but there are less options at that one, from what I found.

The strains I've picked up in the 3 times I've been to the market have been: OG #18, Silver Bubble, Woody OG, Deadhead OG, Tahoe OG and LA Confidential. Those strains have all been legit, well grown and cured and very potent. I've been very happy with all of them especially considering I've been paying just under 10/g normally, those strains would be going for top shelf prices at a dispensary. It isn't like these are being pre-packaged either which is a huge plus to be able to look/smell at the jar they are grabbing your medicine from and watch them weigh it out.

Anyway I saw your post and felt like I was feeling the same way a month or so ago and the farmers market has been my saving grace. I am on a pretty tight budget but also don't want to throw away my money at dispensary prices. Ultimately the farmers market is much more patient friendly and the fact that you can just browse around without feeling obligated to purchase like going into a dispensary, it just fits my style better.

Best of luck!

Lucky, we estimated it would cost us $3000+ a month in retail dispensary (A-grade) cost to properly medicate myself and the mrs.

and it's only that low due to the legal bi-weekly limit.

OP; I could recommend finding a "caregiver" in the nontraditional sense. You could contact a reputable Cannabis certification place and ask them if they are caregivers or can recommend one. Many of them grow themselves and use the certification center to get first grabs at patients with grow rights. That also could be your "in" into a collective of sorts where there is more access.

My grow equipment lies cold and mothballed waiting for the elimination of the 25 mile rule. I will most definitely be looking for clones then.

Until that pipe dream comes true, I'll be content to just be a happy patient, if not grower.

I am not a heavy consumer, and I am not a cannabis connoisseur. I love the quality of the medicines I get no matter the source. Most are hits with a few strikeouts. No complaints here, other than the prices at dispensaries. They are freaking car payments!

Most certification centers are not reputable and will steer you the wrong way- greedy collective etc..
Get a caregiver!

@Coolman Agreed, don't call the one with stoned cartoons dawned on the card with DR. WEED at the top; it's going to need to be reputable.

I'm also not opposed to the farmers market, I rarely find something I like at $250/oz or less. However if you find something you like you can get that growers info and connect with them directly going forward.

Out of curiosity is the number of growers with tables at the markets way
down compared with say 6 months ago due to the 25 mile BS.

The one in Glendale was smaller but it was very well attended. The one on Thomas in Phoenix I have not attended since May or June but is much bigger with better meds hands down. If you haven't been, I would highly suggest checking it out. It's a lot of fun. $5 with a canned food item to get in.

We grow is closed; VFW post 720 on east Thomas is the only one other than the Glendale.

I really enjoyed the market at we grow too. *cry cry*

We could easily burn that amount per month also but I don't have room to grow that much. LOL!
