What's up guys & girl I'm just looking for a little help here.. I'm new to growing but I have a small spare bathroom that I don't use so I want to grow. What type of light do I need how many watts. Any general info will help but I don't have a lot of money tho.... Thanks

Welcome to RIU. You should read the stickies in the Newbie room for basics. You'll need to read up on lighting, ventilation, humidity, odor control, grow mediums and nutrients before starting to grow.

Then if you're cash-strapped, check out the DIY room, where people come up with all kinds of creative ways to outfit a grow without breaking the bank.

Good luck!

Welcome fellow grower! Like kryp said, you will find valuable information here on RIU. That's a great idea, but you will quickly find out it is not a simple matter of sticking a seedling into an unused room (bath in your case), you have to be GOD to those plants. What I mean is YOU have to regulate everything from light/no light, feed, watering, air, etc. The positive side of all those chores is that it is so much fun, interesting to watch, and finally enjoy the fruits of your labor. There are lots of good members here that will help you throughout your grow. For some, it may be a business; for me, its a passion. Good luck to you and keep us posted! Peace
:peace:

Well as for my first grow (you can see it by clicking on the appropriate line in my sig, underneath) I had to look at my space and figure out what I needed.

This takes research, check all the appropriate forums here.

Also use You Tube in conjunction with written word learning. Lots of great vids on set up's there.

Good luck, keep researching and keep asking questions.
