So I had my plants for a month or so under 24Hrs of light . and ive notice that theres alot of heat stress on the plants, so i changed it to 18-6 hrs. Would this cause the plant to start flowering?
18/6 is fine. But if you're having heat problems you should address those by using proper ventilation and enough distance between your lights and the tops of your plants.
I had my closet running with one fan only , but i pluged in the other one and also turned on the exaust fan. but i didnt raise the light , so im going to do that now. Thanks alot for your help. Happy Smoking.
yes i do, but i had only one fan pluged in while i was doing this and it cost me two plants already. i didnt think it was hot enough in there, big mistake.
the fan i had going was for intake, but now that i pluged the whole system ive got two intake fans and one exhaust with an ozone filter, also the ligth has an intake fan and an exhaust so it keeps the light cool.
you should try using two of the fans for exhaust and 1 for intake... more than likely you are causing positive air pressure in your tent.. and as air pressure rises so does the heat... its better to exhaust to much air than to intake to much... its best to keep them as close to equal as possible.. but it is better to have a negative pressure in the grow room than a positive pressure...
ideally you want temps in the 70 to 75 range.. and humidity around 60% during veg and 40% during flowering.. but if you keep good air exchange and air movement you can run warmer temps and higher humidities...
