I know this is out there, but has anyone grown roses indoors?

Has anyone on here ever grown roses indoors before? I can't grow herb anymore due to a few reasons, but I really like growing indoors and I find roses beautiful. So has anyone on here ever grown them? If so, what kind of lights do they like? Nutes? All that good stuff.

Man. Am I the only one interested in this?

i was thinking about it just a little earlier today actually. the thought started b/c i was thinking how it would be nice to have another non-mj grow going to show people and i would want to grow something semi-profitable but legal and they were my first thought. Thats about as far as i got as i forgot about the idea till i saw this post.

Not indoors, but I have a great rose bush outside. It's called "scentimental". Great color (mostly white with red splashes, and very fragrant)
I would assume you would treat them just as you would the outdoor grown ones. You could have better control over the environment. I may have to take a cutting and give it a go. Would be cool to have them in the middle of winter.

Damn you, now I have another item on my plate. Lol. Oh well. I have the luxury of being a stay at home dad, so I have the time to try it.

I was pondering poppies. Any suggestions on that?

in the king of the hill episode when bobby grows roses after having the local grow shop decide to sponsor him to advertise their equipment and get their name out most if not all the roses in the contest were indoor.- STEMS AND SEEDS i believe it was. the owners of the store were even smoking bud and that had alot to do with their sponsoring bobbyr growing.

i knew their was something with a bong too but i couldnt remember it. thank you for reminding me. all i could think of is the episode of the simpsons where they visit a flea market or something like that and bart gets what he believes to be a pencil holder. then homer says "man, i havent seen a bong in years."

your asking about what type of light to use well i would havve to say the same as mj since they work and well their plants so i would get a 150 watt -250 hps or high pleasure sodium and sorry but i have to say this lol i think your idea is kinda gay lmao but i understand after growing my first mj plant indoors i really liked the whole growing experience in general but it still sounds a bit colorful lol

they would grow just fine indoors.

might want to add some blue light to the hps though.

but usually if i grow normal flowers under the 600w hps, i get tons of beautiful flowers in well, took a month last time, seed to flowers (some flowers that dont grow so well up here north, forget the name)

How is it gay? My life loves roses and I think they are nice as well. I want to grow poppies too. My own never ending supply of cake opium. LOL.

Awesome, not very realistic though. how many grow stores do you know that have $2000 lighting systems that fit in a box that small? not even plasma is that much for that little. maybe if they had included all the shit they started piling on at the end of the clip i could see it going for $2000 as a total setup.

you could try using the roses to change that......or sell them. lol.
on another note-I wonder what the most profitable overall plant is to grow indoors(thats legal).....I'm sure it varies hugely but its an interesting thought. i think i'll look into it.

Roses and oranges....... because you can stand on the side of a freeway exit selling them............da dun dun chsh

Poppies? Which I think I want to grow now. Seeds are like $10 for 500 Tasmanian seeds (30% morphine). I would imagine if you could successfully grow and harvest 500 plants worth of opium, you would be rich. LOL.

true, i think it would be cool to grow poppies as they are legal, its just to make money off them you need to do something illegal. lol
