I think your increased yield came from the topping and lst you did, not cutting off the fan leaves :p. bangin lookin plant though  good job

yeh topping and lst did also increase the yield, no question there but over time I have done less lst and only top a plant if I need too

look at the plant with 10 cola's ( bottom of page 4 one of my latest plants) I did not top the plant or lst :)

I like it. Let the haters hate. I try to leave a bit more leaf while still getting rid of all those first branches. Leaves can come off in bloom. More leaves in veg, more roots. More roots is a good thing.

yeh let all the haters say there piece, make them look stupid and now I can talk to some open minded growers lol

yeh your right, this was a test run to see how far I could push the plant, pull it round and still pull a good yield in a short time
now I only remove the leaves I need to so I can control the way the plant grows, this is what gives me the advantage and the extra yield
as in the flower the plants have no stress

Great way to shock a healthy plant. You guys can continue to defoliate and have mediocre yields. All you are doing is wasting potential product, prove me wrong and do a side by side grow with the same strain and butcher the fuck out of one as you please and prove to me it yields just as much in the same amount of time.

Those previous pics of butchered plants that finished were vegged for how long? Stalk looks to be pretty thick to be a young plant.

Very nice grow SB's. It is amazing how fast the buds grow when you defoliate, even the popcorn.

Here is a few pics of my last grow in wich I used defoliation:

I don't keep a journal but heres the link to my current grows:https://www.rollitup.org/general-marijuana-growing/751139-how-do-you-think-there.html
they look great, the bud does grow a lot further down when you defoliation them :)

Now now, let's not turn this into a slanging match. Only reasoned arguments will win the debate.

The reason I asked about the branches you took off Sticky was because I thought the whole idea of defoliation is to get more light to the budsites, and budsites grow on the branches? Just genuinely curious as to why you would do that?

often I remove weaker/ smaller branches, so the branches left get more energy from the roots, more airflow/light in the canopy give me the large cola's but if you don't remove them you end up with loads of small bud sites

Ok interesting expansion on the original theory, I will give it a try. Do you takes the branches from all over or just in a lollypop style at the bottom?

I take the branches from all over and remove a couple of the lower branches, so in flower the light can penetrate deep in the canopy and I want the air to flow through the canopy with ease
