mine too lol. some of my leafs are bitten half off but i ignore it. i got a gnat problem and its annoying the hell out of me so could they do it?

...look at your plants from top to bottom, both side of each and every leaf. See anthing?

...I've never had fungas gnats to eat leaf.....gnat larva lives in your soil, and they like to eat at your roots.

its just a few leafs.. not many and the gnats are really getting to them because they are droopy but may be over watering. i already started new ones because im not expecting these to live lol. i used miracle grow soil cuz its my first grow and also used mg soil for the new ones i dont wanna spend alot of money on soil yet until i buy seeds these are just bagseeds to learn from which has been a nice experience im getting a 150w hps within the next 2 weeks so that will be nice. i just never seen this before lol i had them under the window so it could have been my dog eating the leafs but idk

If you post pics, more than likely we can assist in saving the plants rather than just writing them off. Overwatering is NOT going to help with the Fungus gnats. I often have all out wars with the little bitches. A good layer of sand or perlite on top of the soil along with letting the soil dry in between waterings should kill the gnats off. Throw a couple fly strips up to catch the flying ones. The sand or perlite will keep mature gnats from getting to the soil and laying eggs. Letting the soil dry up in combination with the sand or perlite will kill off those nasty, root eating larvae.

my pot is full to the top with soil.. should i let the soil dry, remove the top lair and put sand down? can i buy perlite at home depot/lowes?

then they emerge and fly around, buzzing in your face and stuff. bungholes, i find gnats to be a small peril, just let the soil at the bottom dry more. ive seen the mysterious leaf munching thing as well with no culprits to procure. perhaps KIEFler elves, ghost bugs, ALIENS, transient catapillers, sleepwalking growers with the munchies, maybe its some gov plot, maaan. all i know is keep on keepin on.

Yes. Be very careful when removing the top layer as not to disturb any roots. Yes. Atleast around my area perlite can be found at home depot, lowes, or even walmart. Your gonna want a solid 1" layer on the top to prevent them from tunneling down into it.
Have you checked the bottoms of your leaves with a scope or magnifying glass? Spider mites are a pain and can destroy a room full of plants in a short amount of time. The main things you would be looking for are small black spots (waste from mites or other), small greyish/white/brown "spider looking" things (hence the name spider mite)
Slugs could be the culprit if its possible they could reach the grow room. Also caterpillars. If they are larger bites then it could possibly be a mouse/mice. I've had them eat leaves, whittle away at the mainstem, and even chop it down similar to a beaver and haul the seedling/young vegging plant away. Mice love cannabis. They will find and eat any seed, not to mention make bedding out of the seed hulls.
