@MediMary:
That has got to be the best freakin avatar pic I've seen. Makes me laugh just thinking about it. Except it's kinda not funny too.

one of my creatures is ill. he has what looks to be a hernia. he came outside during the day 2 days in a row. on the evening of the second day i had to capture it.

i've been hand feeding them cheese and they come right to me whenever i have some. i was feeding it some cheese and it was so shaky it could barely grab the cheese with it's paw. so i threw on my gloves and lured him out of the cathouse with some cheese. i grabbed the scruff of his neck and gently put him in a big box overnight.

we dropped it off at the wildlife rescue center yesterday. the girl there said it looked like a tumor and they'd be taking it to the vet shortly. i have to call tomorrow to see how things went.

i'm hoping they can help it. if they can get it back to health i get to bring it home. i've become kinda attached to having them around.

it swallowed a bone. it traveled thru his body and got lodged in his small intestine. it punctured his small intestine and his colon. it would have required multiple surgeries to try to fix it. it was pretty infected and had "granules" developing around it so they made the decision to put it down. i'm really kinda bummed right now. :(
