I have a lot of trimmings, how much makes butter?

I just got a whole lot of trimmings from a friend, sold me basically ounces for $10, and it is decent stuff, a nice amount of little nugs in there.
I was just wondering, to make butter, how much butter would I use for about 1 oz. of trimmings?
I have looked online, and it seems like a lot of recipes dont include a specific amount of weed/trim, or they only list weed, in which I know trimmings would need to be higher.

I was thinking maybe an ounce for a lb of butter, or maybe 1.5 ounces per lb.

What do you guys think?
 
yeah, I'd say you about right, how much trimming did you get? personally I'd put prolly 2-3 oz's trim in with a LB of butter.
 
you can always start with less, and if it's not potent enough, just do the process over again, but with the same butter, so it get more potent.
 
I have like 3 and a half ounces or so, and it cost me 30 bucks.
Think I should just throw it all in with 1 lb?
 
yeah ,why not. worst case senario is that you get super fuckin stoned. then you can adjust the next time

This is my plan, tell me if it sounds good.

Boil two cups of water
Add butter and mix together
Lower the heat and add trimmings
Simmer and stir for a couple hours
Strain it
Put it in the fridge to separate butter from water
Bake like Betty Crocker

Sound right?
 
I just checked in the ol' ladys' cookbook. 1 oz of trim per cup, or 2 oz per lb. of butter. this makes potent cannabutter if done right!!

you got it! thats what I did. but recently I've been using oil instead of butter, more universal.
 
think about doing oil in the future, it's much more universal, just like the butter, you can use it for anything you use cooking oil for. just make sure it's veggie oil, not olive oil. you don't want the taste from the olive oil.
 
I always use a oz of good nug so i would use all of your trimmings, also add a bit of honey to your butter for taste makes a world of difference.
