I have a huge nutrient and ph lockout problem. Off the charts, literally..

I have a huge issue on my first grow. My PH on the runoff is 5.5 -5.4 , i always pH water at 6.4 -6.5, ALSO, My EC IS OFF THE CHARTS. i have no idea whats going on. my EC is flashing crazy on the highest marker 1.8 i believe, basically so high it cant read it. I am using Fox Farm Ocean Forest soil. And trio feed with canna boost. I purchased Canna Coco for my second grow but to late in to these. so i just addon the boost. I need a good way to flush. My E.C from the tap is .04 ( 200 ppms ) . mostly at 150 ppms. Should i just flush the shit out of them until run off is what i want? With coco my runoff is always perfect. Will my soil show my exact pH that i pour or will it be different?

Who gives a shit what the runoff is? What do the plants look like? Sounds like you might be over thinking it a bit. Post some pics and go from there.

How many weeks have you been going? If you are using synthetics you should flush every 3 weeks or so if you are feeding a lot.

Usually a .5 to 1.0 ph drop for runoff is normal in soil.

If the plant looks fine then relax.

If you thing you need to flush, then run through phd water. The amount should be 3x the size of the container.

In soil, you hardly have to feed, and in FFOF, you definitely don't have to feed for at least 3 weeks. Your PH sounds good, but no more food, or you will cook your plant, although some do like it hot (the soil I mean) If it shows signs of burn or severe stress, a flush would probably be needed. Do you know how to do that?

I've also ran into not enough buffering in some bag of OF. And I seldom pH my water when using an organic mix.

They are showing dying fan leaves. And growth stunted. How can I flush? Can I use tap water then ph at the end?

Soil buffers PH. The water coming out of the soil is not an indication of soil PH. Forget about the PH of the run off and read the plant.

Can you post a picture? I would venture to say you are over feeding your plants.

Im gonna tell you a little secret about growing in soil. throw out the ph meter. It causes more problems than it solves. I'll probably get flack for that statement but it worked in my room..... I've never ph'd any water fro a single houseplant i have and they are beautiful some have been in the same dirt getitng the same hard ass water for over 10 years.

Try growing in strait peat sometime with out the addition of lime. Peat has a pH around 4.9.

This is often the case with hydro too
i vote for throwing ph meters away, those guys with terrible water or using RO i can make an exception for them

I just started week 7 today with them. should i just begin water? My triches dont seem ready though..

Looks like you should b starting to flush m8,your goose looks almost cooked,wouldn't be lookin at it as a prob! Anotha week maybay.
