I say fuck that. Just listen to the man. If his message doesn't resonate with the vast majority of people then they aren't paying attention. People that want a reach around from their candidate need to wake the fuck up.

It's as clear as day to me that he is the ONLY horse in this race that isn't in bed with corporate America.
No argument from me on how you feel about this election. I support Bernie as well. Once he started losing I had to reconcile with this possibility and try to understand why. Yes at the top, its all about money and corporate influence. It's different at the voter level, I mean, Nike bought off Hillary, not the worker at the post office. So, why then isn't Bernie resonating with the working class? Its not just minorities, but the working class in general supports Hillary and not Bernie. My hypothesis is that Bernie hasn't connected with them. Maybe its another reason. At the end of the day, its up to the candidate to win, not just be one who is the least corrupt.

I feel ya. I wasn't coming at you with that post, just expressing my frustration over why/how Hillary is connecting with voters and Bernie isn't.

People shouldn't care about charisma and likability more than substance....but that seems to be the case.

How do you explain her success then? Is it name recognition? Money? Her agenda?

I just don't get it.
Maybe it's Bernie who toots out all these ideas, but has no real way of making it happen. Maybe his numbers just don't add up. Maybe people don't like to hear about tax increases.

I'm to the point that maybe they shouldn't even vote. Let the grown folks make grownup decisions.
No...just be reasonable. I've been voting since they sent me to Vietnam & I have yet to see the perfect president elected....it usually boils down to the lesser of 2 evils...and Hillary for all her faults is no where near as evil as trump....easy decision for me. Good luck

Tomorrow is a big day for Bernie. There is nothing I'd like to see more than to watch Hillary screw her face up in that rictus like expression she has when she tries to put a good spin on something bad happening in her campaign. Something like what happened in Michigan only worse for her in Ohio. Bernie needs more than a second place finish tomorrow. He can't win it tomorrow but he can lose it. So we'll see.

likability is a strange trait. Trump seems to me to be an awful person yet the troglodytes who attend his rallies have to change their underwear after he gives the crowd a Nazi salute. I don't get it.

As far as Hill Pill goes, she's been active on the campaign trail for decades beginning with Bill and then for her own run at the White house. She's has a strong organization in every state with loyal people networking with each other and the community. Bernie started just a year or two ago. Vermont is not exactly the most populous or diverse states from which to build a base either. I still don't understand why Vermont named their largest city after a coat manufacturer.

In neither case can anybody rave about their charisma or likability.

That said, in my opinion, Hillary hasn't been as bad as Corso or you have said. She's done good things. That said, her latest gaffe about the AIDS crisis and the fantasy story of how Nancy helped out (gag) does show how out of touch she really is. It's this kind of mistake that can open the door for Bernie but he's got to win tomorrow.

One of the things that makes it so hard for an unknown to make it from a state like Vermont is the short election cycle. The primary season is too short for a relatively unknown candidate to make it. When the season ran into June, there was time for somebody like Bernie to gain traction but not anymore.

Maybe.

Or maybe people in this country are just too fucking stupid to realize that if their taxes go up $1,000, but they no longer have to pay co-pays/deductibles, it will leave them with a net surplus.

Or maybe people hear the word socialism and they recall the republican talking points about Nazi Germany, and rule the guy out off hand.

Maybe this country deserves more of the same. Maybe even Donald Trump.

You guy's sound like a bunch of immature kids..."if I can't have what I want, I'll just blow everything up!".....kids these days:roll:
Buying in to a political process where you're left picking between a pile of horse shit and a pile of cow shit is pointless. Picking the lesser of two evils has gotten old. Why participate when you don't believe in either of the choices?

Actually the first person to say it was Martin O'malley, and then Democrats attacked him over it
Come on dude, you saw it first on FOX. How about that choir they brought in? Those African Americans were sure good. Any idea what the delegation was in the audience?
