Welp, since you are no longer doing cfl's, you might want to post your question in a different part of the forum.

Also, how do you intend on handling the heat of the hps?

if i were you, i wouldnt have took them back as you can replace all your light bulbs in the house with the cfls to save on electricity!!!!

Good question - heat will be an issue with the hps bulbs - you may be interested in obtaining a portable air conditioner from Lowes or Home Depot.

Ha ha...Gotcha...everyone boasts about hps this...hps that....so you get the hps...have you plugged it in and checked the temp in your closet....your now gonna need a fan pumping air in....a fan venting air out....ducting..etc....This aint no cheap hobby....However, It's hard to explain the little rush you get every time you open the door to look in on your babies...All big eyed like its your birthday....Or maybe it's just me:).....Definitely worth the $600 I have in my closet....good luck bra!!

You are right - this is not a cheap hobby!! But it sure pays off in the end. I am 8k deep in my grow room. The rewards are great. It does feel like your birthday when you step into your grow room. Good luck...

Save the cfls and use them around your house to save $ on your bill. I switched every bulb in my pad to cfls and saved about 700 watts. So I was able to add 8 4' t8 flouros for vegging on top of my 400 watt hps without making my bill go up.

That is what i did with all my cfls. I will use them when i get another clone to grow as a mother and on my clones. But i know i will be happy with my new HPS setup.
