Yep, I say go for it. Plant will just shorter, but fully packed with buds, it will be a good thing.

Might get a chunky 2-3 footer. Never know. Pop it and find out. I have a bunch of little ones going jnto the ground in a couple weeks

So I planted it and it's 3feet talk by 2 and a half feet wide it's been going great but like last year coming down to the last 2 weeks 2 buds and leaves attached to the same stem look like this it has never spread more then 3 but does anyone no what causes this?

Possibly from some damage to the bud site early on in flower? Mutation maybe? Those are just a few guesses. Props for following through with growing the seed and keeping us updated
