I feel like something is wrong

hey guys. I've been growing my auto lemon skunk and it seems healthy n all but small. Did some lsting so its 8" might be 12" tall without training.
It's day 55ish from seed and it's just starting to put triches on. Gave it a dose of quarter strength veg and bloom nutes 10 days ago and watered a half dose of bloom nutes yesterday. I feel like it's very short for this old

18/6 cycle
600w hps
40% Rh

Any comments welcome!

Looks healthy to me, too. Some of the buggers just stay squat. I'm finishing a grow right now that has several phenotypes and varies any where from under 12" to over 40". They all got the same everything. Hope she fills out and gives you a strong finish.

Something is wrong. You need to take pics with the HPS off. (Normal lighting)

It's clear that the outer edges are discolored, but what color that is can't be determined with the all yellow glow of HPS light. (I use it myself. Turn it off and bring a decent lamp in just to get the pictures.) It's also clear you've got some leaf distortion going on.

Frankly, I think it's nutrient burn. You're feeding veg plants like hell when they don't need to be. It's a soil grow, not hydroponics.

Also, the humidity is a bit on the low side. Put a pan of water in there.

Yea the leaf discoloration near the bottom is my bad. Spilt nute rich water. It showed a lil bit of nute burn after that but nothing too grievous. I stopped feeding veg nutes now. Will try to upload a pic without hps later

The newer growth is looking better. I think it's coming 'round. I would go ahead and prune those lower, heavily discolored fan leaves. At this point, they're more dead weight than anything else.

how is that soil when wet - looks like it would be a big mud pie. lacking oxygen for roots. Use some perlite next time.

I also never fill soil to top of pot - I save room so I can mix up some FFOF and Happy Frog Dry Fruit and Flower and add three times - when flipped -25 -40 days

Yea i f'ed up without thinking lol. And yea the soil is pretty bad on top. Different 2inch under. Not great drainage but got a lot of perlite and vermiculite for next time

I use those fabric pots - best thing I ever did. Don't need nearly as much Perlite - which means more room for actual soil. My help can't overwater nearly as much either.

I got 5, 10 gallon fabric pots from Vivosun on the way. This grow was buying things hastily while my plants grow. Had 3 house lamps and a bunch of bag seeds 3 months ago. Now i gotta a tent, mh/hps, inline fan, ph kit, ppm pen, soil and aerators. Next cycle of plants should do great.
