I dont want to kill my future plants

Hi everyone, i love this site i have learned alot from reading through people's journals thank you.

Now i tried growing a few months ago, lets just say it didn't go very well. I am now well organized and have some questions to ask.

In my new grow i am planning to use this, will this keep 1 or 2 plants happy?

When the plant is still a seedling for the first week how much light should i use?
just the 250w 6500k? or the 85w 6500k, or the 85w 6500k and 45w 2700k


For Veg
- 250w cfl 6500k (with a wing reflector)
- 45w cfl 2700k (heard its good to use some of both spectrums)
- Mylar tape and sheets for the surrounding area
- Northern light feminized seeds
- Desktop usb powered fan
- Outake pc fan

For Flower
-250w cfl 2700k (with the wing reflector)
-85w cfl 6500k (Just a little extra since i already have this bulb anyway)
- plus all the fans and reflecion material mentioned above.

I am not going to feed nutes to the plant untill it is in flower, is that ok? and when i do finally give it nutes i will be using -[h=1]Advanced Nutrients Dr Hornby's Big Bud < copy and paste[/h]
These are real grow bulbs i am using and everything will be wired safley.

Seedlings don't need a ton of light. You'd be fine under the 85w for a week. That being said I always veg mine with my 400w MH.

Ok man Thanks for the feedback, ill keep it under the 85w then ill take that out and use the 250w, and by the 3rd week il have the 250w and the 45w 2700k running.

I love my400 mh for veg. Never go back to cfls again.

I've thought about getting a 250w CFL for veg, not too sure though. I may just buy a 6500k 400w MH instead. I don't want to deal with the hassle of figuring out how to hang another bulb.

Yea, but I could buy a bulb for 25 bucks.
