I cannot find accurate answers for my situation please help

I ordered a 2.6'x2.6'x5.3' grow tent,
A 600 watt hps/mh kit,
And a carbon filter/ 6" fan kit

All of this stuff is coming in 7 days but I already have 2 seedling that are 7 days in! These were my only seeds so I need to not mess this up. Can these seedlings survive with just 2 strong desk lamps until day 14 or do I need to buy some cfls for the mean time? (I attached pictures of the seedlings/ lamps) I currently have them both in the same cup, how can I separate them without damaging roots?
When the stuff arrives should I dim the ballast to 200?400? Or should I stick with 600w? If I don't need that much wattage then should I buy a 400 watt bulb or do I just use the 600w bulb?

Thanks for taking time to help me out and if you want to offer any other advice on things I may be missing I would really appreciate it. Totally new to this but already it has given extra happiness in my life.

I vegged four seedlings for two weeks under 4 23 watt cfls. I'm sure I could have gone longer. You'll probably be good. I'd suggest moving those lights a lot closer though, maybe like 4 inches away. The good thing about cfls is that they don't get really hot.

yep, CFL 6500k is fine.
go with 600w but raise it4 ft above seedling then lower it 1ft every 2 days.

yeah, i agree with everyone else.. the desk lamp isn't of much use, other than lighting a dark room, not a very good source of light to grow some cannabis with though..
yes, you can and should run out and pick up some cfl bulbs into your kit gets there.. i'd go for the largest actual watt bulbs you can find, in the 6500 k range.. it'll say it right on the box the kelvin rating..

oh, i missed the part about them being in the same cup... you have to very carefully, as the roots are very small, and therefore very delicate, dump out the soil and plants, and like i said, carefully try and separate the two plants the best you can..
the good news is that they're still very young, and hopefully won't have much root mass.. just take your time, and be as gentile as possible..
once you have them apart, carefully put them along with some fresh soil in a new up.. you can bury the stem pretty deep when you replant them, the stem that is under the dirt will then grow new roots..

Set the grow tent up and make it work first. Grow the sprouts under florescent for now. This way you can work out all the bugs in the growroom. You can separate them just fine if you do it soon.

Ok tomorrow I will buy 200watts of cfl in the 6500k range and position them close to the seedlings. I'll also take out one of the seedlings and put it in its own cup.
When the stuff arrives I'll put the seedlings into 3 gallon buckets and use the 600watt MH light.
Am I missing anything or will this potentially work.

Sounds like a good plan. You can bury the stem if they get too spindly, they'll eventually grow roots where you buried it.

Timing, let them grow in the cup for a while, then transplant. Start with a see through cup and one that's blue or red. Look at the difference in the roots. Two weeks at least in a cup I would go longer this is at least a month in these 4 by 4'sgrow pics 120.jpg

If you can give them a little more light, then add it. If not, they should be ok for another week. My only concern here is them being in the same pot.

OH GOD:shock: in the process of moving a seedling to its own cup I felt a snap. It felt like the death of a seedling! I just ignored it and continued to put it in its own cup. I'm afraid I might have killed it but other then that I got the CFL bulbs. I put them about 1-2 inches from The seedlings. After about 10 minutes I go and check on them and it's over 100 degrees! So I moved the cfls to about 7 inches and opened up the station a little bit. Here are pics of my new station

Oh my goodness:( I checked on it just now and it was 98 degrees so I moved the lights even higher. I have four of them didn't think it would be this strong but wow. I think I killed both my plants but I have new seeds on the way :/

Maybe the foil kept them too hot? I feel kind of guilty because I dropped advice.

Lighting wise, they'll be fine. Those clear cups suck, and having 2 in one cup sucks also.
