Yes ... I believe the Lord would recommend something like: "Love each other as you love yourself." I don't believe he would say: "Stick a gun at the head of the guy over there, take his money and give it to someone else. Then after you do that, you'll feel really great about how charitable you are."

Right, let charity take care of the poor. All the greedy asshole rich pricks will be glad to fork over and help the poor. Why do you think they have taxes. Because the rich assholes want to keep all their money while exploiting the poor. Been that way since day one and it's not about to change. without taxation, there would be mass starvation accross the world. You'd better be glad I'm not in charge or your taxes would go up, not down!
