Might as well go with bronze and save the money if you are healthy. When you look at the deductible the plans are close to the same payout wise if you get sick anyway...

I just took a look to see what the prices were. I am covered under my wifes policy. She works for a Big healthcare insurer.

The for an individual for family?

This is the piece I have been curious about and no media is covering, what do the plans look like!

Was just curious. I have it through work and my state has its own exchange. But I priced in the past and those plans look pretty damn impressive. The problem before for someone with kids was that it was impossible to get comprehensive coverage for normal kid illness stuff. These look like normal, good policies and that is great to see.

Can't you just answer that one question ChesusRice to save me the time? Not intended at all to refute you. I am hoping for some good news on ACA!

^ For an older person with medical issues, those prices are fantastic...

For a 27 year old, those prices are outrageous.

And that is the trade off. The 27yr old should be paying about 100 bucks a month.

My policy if 406 a month, no deductible, max out of pocket 2250.
10 dollar co-pay doctor and specialist.

I think it will work if all the 27 year olds in America join and pay 3x as much as they should.

THOSE PRICES ARE FOR SOMEONE 50 YEARS OLD WHO SMOKES
Why dont you go to the website and copy and paste the numbers you come up with?

Using the term "apply" is a misnomer. Usually when people "apply" it is a voluntary act that isn't motivated by avoiding force. You "complied" with an edict, comrade.

Just remember, we almost all get old someday. And then there are older people who will be subsidizing some things like birth control that only younger people use. That is the idea behind insurance!!

Think about public schools. i have heard older people or those who don't have kids complain about their taxes going to support it. Yes, another gov edict that forces people to spend their money on something they don't use.

Those rates seem pretty good really, especially since i know they are really sticking it to we smokers. Gives me some hope though ACA does not do enough imo.

Thanks Chesus!

We pay less than that currently for the family for a better plan.

The caveat being, We pay over 500 a month for the policy but my wifes company picks up the other 75% cost of the plan we have

If I had to buy this on the individual market this would be a good deal with or without subsidys

If I teach my own kids, shouldn't the government pay me?
