Veg day 37. I transplanted these bitches last night. it was not easy ...... they are 2 1/2 feet tall. I lagged on transplanting so growth slowed a little. Im going to let them go another week or so til they go into flower

7 gal ROLS pots round 2 (3rd use total) Unfortunately 3 of these didn't sit and break down for as long as I would have liked. but just a bunch of compost teas and enzyme teas should do the trick.

Nice NL OG. I have some SFV OG, And they grow similar. I would like them to be more of a bush then a leggy bitch but i find during the begging of flowering they like to stretch a bit. I am not sure about your NL OG though, i have never grown it. But SFV OG is Dank under the right conditions, i take them out to 12 weeks though. How long do your NL OG go for?

love using the coral waves in combo with others to balance, BUT I don't know how you feel about 420nm .... tell me a story! Please?

it stretches and grows fast in veg. takes off by a foot or 2 in the first 2 weeks of flower. some branches are filled out colas and some have poodle style buds on the same plant. its a 10 weeker. the hindu is an 8 weeker. both good yielders too

lol I was talking about 420nm Wavelength ... not strains Thats what i get for missing my morning wake up

I quoted the wrong one but I fixed it

Imo 420nm slows growth in veg and flower. Ive done trial and error using 420 / 460 and just 420 and just 460 all separate, the 460 alone grew the fastest but stretched the most in veg. 420 grew the slowest. combined was a little better.

I prefer uv and 460 with a little green and a little more red 630 / 660. IR only during flowering. Fran Jan had a thread about melatonin suppression caused by certain wave lengths in the led section. At first I assumed it was 420 due to slow growth. Later I found Harvard and Oxford studies showing that between 480nm - 525nm suppresses melatonin. Which is responsible for stress recovery and hormone growth.That encouraged me to do more trial and error and in flower too. When 420 was present buds were a little smaller and flowering time lagged.

Luckily the coral wave peaks at 460 so it has very little 420. it has a little green spike and a little 660 spike and a lot of IR. If using white led's I prefer warm whites due to minimal 420 and plenty of red.

But I get your point about too much 420.

Dang . I should get some more flora suns in there. I broke the ones I had. Im a clutz.

I've been baking out some diy led for side lighting. Im thinking on each side two lights. Each with 1 1/4 x 24 inch heat sinks with 6 -8 warm white cree xp-g 5w with a remote 700mA dimmable driver and 1 or 2 120 mm fans.

Maybe throw in some Philips rebel 3w 660nm on a 700 mA dimmable driver.

Ive gone back and forth with that or the cree bulbs from home depot. or the led tubes from apache....

'Ive been busy. only been posting during down time at work. haven't had chance to upload any pics til now. I took these pics 7 days ago. so day 40 and day 5. I will take more pics tonight.. its a big difference. a few 12/12 fs at a few days flower and 3 weeks flower too

how do you like the 12/12 fs so far!!? I find my 12/12 fs usually do better than my clone (due to space restriction, I dont veg my clone for very long nor use big pots while they veg)... except the pure indicas ...

With all the seeds I have from various male and females, I have a hard time to decide whether I should just grow from seeds and stop cloning... I wanted to keep only a couple strains to clone but I love all my strains so much I can't decide which one to keep around... now I have all those clones and no room to start new seeds but I have a bunch of new seeds that I am wanting to grow as well!!!

Swing by my thread a few days from now I will upload pics of some wicked SB X NYCD !! ubber frosty!

12/12 from seed is alright. depending on the strain i have 3 that are small and one the got pretty big.

these are getting chopped over the next few days. northern lights og and cheese berry kush.

I haven't watered these at all this week. Letting the soil dry out completely before chop. They are yellowing fast with dryer soil. But chunking up at the same rate. Green Santa's method. I like it. the smell is much more pungent.

these are at day 20 from flip to 12/12. They are 3 1/2 - 4 1/2 feet tall from top of soil. hindu skunk and northen lights og. 3 of them were accidentally topped when they went into flower. light fell in veg, link slipped. my fault. I sprayed these down after taking pics.

i just chopped 3 plants so far. after re-arranging the garden, I realized 2 of nl x og are over 5 feet tall from top of soil. in 7 gal smart pots. I'm 6ft and those 2 are taller than me.

As much as Im all about organics if there is some problem I cant get rid of organically then I will end up using chemicals. I use to have a major PM problem that would not go away and no matter what I tried nothing worked, I battled it for over a year and it still ended up coming back because it is systemic. So I used eagle 20 on all my veg plants and after 1 use I never got PM on those plants again. Now I use it once a year in spring when I start to see PM pop up and I don't have to worry about it after that. I know the stuff is bad and I never use it on flowering plants but smoking PM is also bad and it does work wonders.

^^^^^ I usually make a solution with neem meal or neem oil. Works great. Ran out a month ago. Haven't gotten any. Will pick some up next week. Been using lemon water . Just haven't figured out the right ratio yet.

Eagle 20 works like a champion. I have been all organic evrything in growing my whole life till this recent year, but eagle 20 is the only chemical anything I will be supporting from now on. Do your mother plants once a year and you will never see PM.

u dont need a lot of lemon.

try boiling horsetail, comfrey and stinging nettle. works best if u dont boil but slowly simmer, once it gets hot and start to steam, let simmer for about 20 minutes. I am just about to treat my outdoor plant as preventive measure as well as all my squash plants and grape vines.

i like the lemon a lot coze i dont care if it gets onto my buds. u got lots of soil in ur room... are u running enough dehumidifiers\?
