Hypothetical grow notes

I see now I should have left all the plants in their gallon pots until they showed sex. No need for the work or stress. I'll just sink the gallon pots in the bigger pots as I have to move them out of the screen room. I will decide which males to keep, but no use tying up a good pot while doing it.

Growing in the winter reminds me of Vn's rooftop grows. His plants flowering at one month was always so weird to me. Now I'm doing it.

I got out early and gave the Poly Shunk 1 X Skunk Shunk male a haircut. I just cut the top 6" of pollen sacks. It should grow new shoots. I'll clip them again in a week or so.

I had one more Shunk AF X PN X SMC X GdR sprout, and took it to the screen room yesterday. I took 3 of the bigger plants from the screen room and put them in holes in HG and HGw patches. The grasshoppers had cashed a few of the ones I had put out last week.

Gave away another pot with 4 Poly Shunk 1 plants in it. The ones I gave away a couple weeks ago got grasshoppered.

Took 2 pots to the FP patch. Ghost Light and CP1 IBL, two plants in each pot. I only had one open spot, so I just sunk the other pot flush with the ground. Male plant will soon be gone, and I'll put it in that pot.

This morning I got to the PPS patch. The plant that got hurt by the frost is flowering, and it has pink pistils. It got stunted by the cold, and the leaves still looks like hell, but at the same time, it looks like the bud itself is going to be a looker.

I got out early and made the rounds of the PPS, screen room and the HG patches. Food, water, Neem and stinky stuff all around.

Only 3 plants left in PPS after the grasshoppers ate the Too Slow a couple weeks ago. One of those is a male, and will be chopped next week most likely. The female that got hurt by the cold is still budding, and has pretty pink pistils, but it's going to be really small. The other plant is budding and looks pretty good. Small but good.

All the new sprouts in the screen room are leggy as hell. But I didn't have to prop any up.

I had to transplant one PN X SMC X GdR in HGw. Two plants were in a gallon pot in a five gallon pot. The small pot had been rooted up and one plant was dead. I planted the other one, and hope that what ever was doing the rooting will stay the fuck away. I did give a good spray of the stinky stuff all around the hole.

There were two holes where the plants looked really good and had no grasshopper damage. All three of the Ghost Light had bad damage. Maybe one of them will pull through, but I wouldn't count on it. Glad I took the other one down to the FP patch now. Hope the grasshopper down there leave it alone.

We had our first frost this morning. Didn't get to check on any patches, but did go water the pot of Poly Shunk 1 IBL sprouts I had gave to a buddy. You could tell they had been frosted, but I think they will be alright. 50% chance of rain tomorrow, so maybe I can make my rounds when it's raining.

I did plant 6 pots with 2 seeds per pot the last good planting day, maybe Wednesday. I didn't write them down, but I think they are Poly Shunk 1 X Skunk Shunk, Powernap X Sinmint Cookies X GdR X Poly Shunk 1.5, and Shunk AF X PN X SMC X GdR.

Did not get to the patches this week. Too many cousins up for the holiday. They will be thirsty AF. Still no rain worth mentioning.

I killed 6-8 PS1 males this week. I have 1 Ass Cheese, 1 GdR, 1 CP1 and 1 Ghost light males. Will decide who goes with who soon.

I transplanted 8 pots of plants. 5 in HG and HGw and 3 in PPS. Almost all the plants in HG patches had been grasshoppered. One real good looking plant in PPS.

And I smoked my first from this crop. One of the little Eeyore females had died, drying the bud on the stalk. I got a pin joint out of it.

Yesterday I transplanted three pots of plants into two holes{stl}. Peach tree hole has 1 GdR. Other hole has 1 or 2 plants of Blue Shiva X Blue Shark X Ass Cheese, and 1 or 2 plants of another good cross that I am not remembering at the moment. {there are 3 plants, I just don't remember which has 2 and which 1} Took them water today, and still looking good.

Edit: I broke the strap on my wood backpack, so I got all three pots with 1 foot plants into a slack pack, which was quite the feat.

Today I took 2 pots with 1 Poly Shunk 1 X Skunk Shunk sprout in each to the screen room. I killed a CP1 male while I was there.

Also killed a CP1 male at the FP patch yesterday, and gave another male in the HG patch a hair cut.

I saw another sprout yesterday before I left for the trail.. Didn't get to move it. Will see if I have time in the morning. It's been raining slow and steady since yesterday.

I didn't really have time, but I took a PN X SMC X GdR X Poly Shunk 1.5 sprout to the screen room this morning. The rain had knocked down some of the too tall sprouts. Only 3-4 more pots of possible sprouts, so I will soon have what I'm going to have for this crop.

I found 4 (Blue Shiva X Blue Shark) X (Powernap X Sinmint Cookies X Ass Cheese) sprouts this morning. I planted those seeds on October 25th. I put them in two pots and took to the screen room. I need to add dirt to several of the younger sprouts and prop up the lay downs, but too much air activity.

Forgot to say we have had two night of cold. 29F or there about both mornings. Good solid white frost. Didn't get to check on any of the patches, but the ones in the screen room looked alright. {they are under screen, though}

I had 5 mornings of white frost. It outright killed my best Ass Cheese, and put a hurting on everything outside the screen room. Maybe this cold will stop the grasshoppers. Some deer damage, but only a couple. Wednesday I transplanted new plants into the holes that had cashed. Still have more holes than plants ready to go into them. This is from the last couple of plantings. I took up the labels when I replaced the plants. Some had 2-3 plants per hole.

I cut the tops off the Ghost Light male in the FP patch. There is a small female in the same hole. Will use some of the pollen on it, and most likely on the other plants down there too. So far it has been my best looking male.

Food and water to the FP patch this morning. Ghost Light male and female were both ate by grasshoppers. Others looking alright. Slow bud formation as not a lot of light. Too many cloudy days the last couple of weeks. The days will be getting longer going forward though.

I used some of the pollen from Powernap X Sinmint Cookies X GdR {possum hole of the HG patch this past season} on three of the plants in the FP patch. The Too Slow and CP1 IBL are not far enough along for pollen yet. Those long winded Sativa strains might not be the best choice for a winter grow. This was almost a week ago. Will see how they respond.

Today I got down to the stl. The plant in the first hole was dead. Also the far plant in the 3 plant hole. One of the two left was a male. Both looking pretty good. Need about a week to collect pollen, then another one before using it. Didn't dig for any labels.

On Christmas Eve I found another Blue Shiva X Blue Cheese X Powernap X Sinmint Cookies X Ass Cheese sprout in the tray pictured above. These seeds were planted 25 October. Hope it is a faster finisher than starter. lol
