Hypothetical grow notes

No new sprouts this morning. 25 plants looks like what we are going to get, although I am still wetting down the unsprouted cups.

With the one I killed, that is 26 of 34 seeds. Not too bad. I'll give a complete break down later, but I know there were 3 Sour Grab Bag and 1 Random Bud X TPD that didn't sprout. Not sure of the other 4.

I've got a few more than good sense would dictate.

I have lost a few plants over the years. The better you hide them, the more chance of loosing them.

No weapon. Man is the only animal in the woods that scares me. Plus I try to break as few laws as possible.

I liked seeing deer when I was planting (if they weren't eating my shit). Meant no one else was around.

Bird song and the buzz of the bugs is another good indicator you are in the woods by yourself. When it gets quiet, that is when you need to look and listen.

What I hate more than anything is when a murder of crows latch on to you and let the whole world know where you are. They will bird dog you.

I forgot to mention the summer solstice. I am now at 14 hours 7 minutes Length of Day. Tomorrow will be 0 minutes 6 seconds shorter.

Should know in the next week or so if the Ass Cheese and Ass Cheese Blues are going to keep on keeping on flowering, or will I be in re-veg hell the next couple of months. Several others just starting to early flower, but none of them really matter.

Working late yesterday, and cousins up for a visit kept me from checking on the HG patches. I did take food and water to the FB patch. Didn't have my neem spray {or camera} with me.

The young plants from the 3rd round were almost knee high already. Except for the double planted hole. And I have the tall one staked out there.

The heat is making me tend the sprouts every day and a half now. Two days is just too long. Even with two fans, the soil is drying out too much. And that is with 3 solo cups of water per 12-13 sprouts. I might try letting them set in a little water. But that kind of scares me.

I have put a little water in the bottom of the tray. but that is non optimal. Our daytime temps are in the low 90's everyday. Add a dozen CFL's in a hood, plus the whole area is covered in reflectix, because of light leakage, and pretty soon you are going to get hot.

But my veg buddy said his wife was getting cold feet about the whole thing. So we will be going outdoors with these real soon. Not sure what we are going to do going forward.

damn that sucks....
Yep. But we are talking it out, trying to come up with something that will not freak her out, and keep us in smoke too.

His advice was for me to stop fucking around breeding all these poly hybrids and concentrate on one or two strains. He would be happy running Ass Cheese, GdR and CP1 X B&S. He also wants to do one big run early, then a smaller one late in the summer.

It does make it easier when everything is the same. But I like a little variety too.

i hear you. when i found my sour diesel keeper, that's all the friends wanted. anything else i grew just sat around, lol. so for years, i just grew sour diesel.

but recently after me and said friends went to colorado and got to sample so many different strains in one weekend. we all agreed we wanted more variety also. so variety we will have.

and as good as my sour diesel is, when you stop smoking her for a week or more, when you go back to her, she just hammers you again !!!! :bigjoint:

sure hope you can work things out with her.

Each season I would be in love with a strain and say I was going to work with it for several years. Then someone would send me some seeds, and I would fall in love with another strain. Then I would say I was going to work with it for a while, etc, etc, etc. Now I have more crosses than I have time to work with.

Maybe my SD will turn out good. I'll add it to the mix too.

She hasn't said anything to me, but I don't want her to make his life tough. I was completely outdoors before, so I can do it again. You just have to pop a whole lot more seeds.
