Hydroton in your aerogarden?

...if it is...well... I hate to be the one to break it to you. You're not doing 100% aero. That's all I have to say. Feel free to debate me. If you do, I promise to only use logic and facts corroborated with experience in my talking points. I will also present ( in writing, not in pics...pics aren't necessary in scientific discussions) a complete cradle to the grave system on how to be without growing media (except for seed starting, of course) and the hassles of cleaning it. Thank You.

how exactly would you put hydroton in your aero system? do you mean in the pot that holds up the plant or?

Problemsolver: most of what we're doing are hybrid offshoots of systems. Bubble tubs with sprayers are a combination active hydro systems mixed with features of Aeroponics, but not in the truest sense. You might want to RTFB. I wish there was an easier way, but from what you ask, I think you might be new to this so I’d suggest you refer to the following sources:
1. Read: SeeMoreBud’s book, “MARIJUANA BUDS FOR LESS- GROW 8 OZ. OF BUDS FOR LESS THAN $100.”
2. Read: Jorge Cervantes’s book, “MARIJUANA HORTICULTURE THE INDOOR/OUTDOOR MEDICAL GROWER’S BIBLE.”
3. Read: Ed Rosenthal’s, “MARIJUANA GROWER’S HANDBOOK.”
4. You’ll also want to read: Mc Carthy’s book, “GROWING MARIJUANA.”
5. You should also subscribe to, “HIGH TIMES,” magazine. Each issue is chocked full of useful information. .” All these resources are very well written, well illustrated and packed with information that will answer most of your questions before you know to ask them. And I want to add a new book to the list, a 6[SUP]th[/SUP] one: “THE CANNABIS GROW BIBLE- SECOND EDITION,” written by Greg Green. It’s a match to, if not better than, the ones listed above. Doing your homework and consulting these resources will save you and your plants a lot of anxiety before you plant. These forums are great but often they can’t get the information you need to you in a timely fashion. I hope this helps. HSA

Here is all that I am saying. If you want to do true aero, you are only allowed a foam collar to hold up the plant in your 4" pipe or what ever it is you are using for pipeworks. That means it has to be a clone rooted with a foam collar to begin with. If you use a hydroton net pot, the baby doesn't get a good start in the first week or two of flower if you flower directly from rooted clone. Not new, currently running 21k watts.
Since I threw my hydroton ( 300liters of it) in the garbage my aerogardens and dwc gardens are much happier and healthier because of the increased oxygenation from the very beginning of the clones life cycle. I'm simply waiting for someone to ask how this is done. Until then, I'm not telling how. No use talking to the wind.

Wrong name more like problem maker eh? The fact that hydroton is there does not preclude it from being aero, the plants need the weight to balance as they get larger and sometimes still isn't enough. And whats your point?

i use net pots and collars.............. but who fu__ing cares. if it works for you or them great. you sound like you were a hall monitor and police academy dropout.
