I'm switching from coco to DWC....
Is Hydroguard ok to use in tap water if i bubble the water first to air off the chlorine?

I have good tap water (hawaii) 43ppm total outta the tap. Will the bennies survive in tap water running dwc ?

not sure

so if it has chloramine, then i cant use ? i was thinking chlorine was the only thing i had to worry about

hmmm, unles they add it in, our water super clean

I run Orca and Hydroguard with tap water and it does not affect the bennies as far as I can tell.
If you are really worried there is some shit brewers add to the water to get rid of it.
Sodium Metasulfate or something like that. It might be potassium haha but check it out.

You can order a water quality report that will tell you if it has cloramine.

yeah, if it's muni water they add one or the other (usually)

you can always run a sterile res too with something like h2o2 or hth pool shock.

I have very hard tap water and I used to just let sit for 24 hours with some air stones going.
Reverse Osmosis is always better for a couple hundred bucks you can get a simple R/O System

Go to your towns web site and find the water report. It'll tell you what's in it, then you can figure out what to do. Hydroguard works fine in tap water once you remove the chlorine /chloramine.
