Exactly, the lights appear to be pretty legit - haven't used them but have seen some good results with their lights, unless there is an incredible gorilla marketing scam out to get HGL there has to be something shady with this person's past given the litany of unpleasant stories posted from frustrated or incarcerated customers.

they may not be applicable for larger commercial grows but they're fantasticalicious for home hobby growers that don't want to deal with hps vents, heat stress issues, suspiciously high electricity costs, and the orange glow that creeps everywhere (unless you have a tent).
I used to use two 400w hps and a lot of cfl sides and am totally satisfied with the 600w of led I have replaced it with. No drop in yield and my buds have been tastier, although this could have something to do with the heat issues I was having. Had cool tubes but no high speed vents just 2 box fans. If you're a hobbyist that wants to do it proper stealthy they beat the shit out of cfl and do actually save money vs hid and bulb replacement and power in the long haul if you're leds are under warranty.

I had a bad experience with HGL, Around 3 months ago I orderd the 126X 3w, and when I got it both fans were brokenand it seemed like it was shipped to me straight from china, add to that a very very very bad customer service, eventually I had to fix it my self and I almost lost my faith on LEDs.
My advice is just run awaaaaaaaaaaaaay from this company and never look back "run forest run"
Though what really got my faith back on LEDs was AdvancedLedLights , I got the 300w extreme from them,they have good customer service and good products, I'm almost done with flowering and so far so good and I think it's worth what I paid for so far.

And I hear there are many good LED companies out there so don't lose faith on LEDs. It's just those idiots that call themselves Hydro Grow That gives LEDs a bad name.
i've been a watcher and a member of these forums for a while and never posted here till now thats how bad they are, they drove me to speak lol, and to be clear their lights does work , my problem is with them as people
i just will never trust giving them my money no mo.

Couldn't have said it better Shaka! That guy/lady is a creep- seriously!
I don't post much either but negative threads based on bs annoy me.
People just like to be negative and blame others. There are more positive threads about the lights then negative. Your own fault in my opinion. Should have read the policy.
I've dealt with them a couple of times and was pleased with the service. I even mucked them around a bit and they were still very helpful.

you are so wrong mate. They shoul have clearly stated on the website, this model is out of stock. Or they should have emaild back straight away after payment, look the item is out of stock, how would you like to proceed do you want a refund?
I would like to see you, loosing more than 100 on a "not in stock" item that you were prob needing right now, not in more than a month time.
And also, there is many many many many many people having issues with that company. To do not talk about the fact that their prices are CRAZY WAY MORE THAN ACTUAL VALUE.

It will. One time overstock short shipped 3 suits I bought and didn't bother to put my $$ back in my checking acct. It was close to 700 bucks. After getting frustrated with them I filed a complaint with the BBB. Two days later I had my suits, an apology from overstock.com and they gave me my money back in exchange for marking the complaint as resolved by the business.

Boy... Thanks for this thread. I am currently in the process of finding the right light for a small 2'X2'X5' grow tent and based strictly on reviews have narrowed my choice to.
a). (1) Penetrator 84X-PRO $649
b). (2) 100w Diamond Series $590
Now I'm not so sure... Back to the drawing board.

I would just go for the 200w diamond series instead of two 100s. I have a 200w diamond and it will rock a 2x2 for sure.

Good Day guys, I'm a local grow enthusiast up in Canada. I looked into buying an LED light and couldn't come to spending that kind of money. I then did a bunch of research and found some truly impressive technology. I built my prototype and it is now in a local garden store growing flowers and vegetables and it is doing really really well!! So now I'm building more and I'm starting up a company. I don't mean to solicit my company at all, but if you guys want to email me about some info on it or pics or whatever, feel free!! 
I have also been talking to some factories and have come up with some dirt on hg, but whatever, I am all about getting the best thing out there.
