hydro first plant

yoho~

I just started a plant in my closet, bought a hydroponic 1plant system, and I have a quick question.

It's clay pellets, all that jazz, got nice lighting, but...how long do I keep the pump for the water res plugged in? I mean, for the past week we've just let it drip the water in consistently. I've had the thing plugged in since we've hooked it up. Been doing proper light/darkness shifting for veg but was just curious since it's my first swing at hydro.

I'm a bit concerned that the roots will stunt or go bad on me, the top half of her is looking reeeeaaaally nice! but the bottom half, the closer I get down, the more the leaves wilt and brown. I can't stress how well the new growth looks and has been looking, but I figured I might as well play it safe and ask.

Well generally the new growth is what you want to look at so if you say that looks good then your probably fine. Do you have any pictures?

None at the moment; my camera vomited on me. I'll post some in the next few days, it's like two weeks in from clones so shes not that super but I'd give her more than a passing grade.
