Hybrid Vertical/Horizontal Perpetual SOG Room Design

Hey guys/gals ive been thinking a lot lately about how to maximise yield/space while minimizing electricity use.

This is my first post so ill start off with a little introduction.

I live in Canada and have a couple grows under my belt. I haven't been at it for long but I have easily spent half a year or more browsing forums like this learning as much as I could. What started as something to put some extra cash in my pocket and some free smoke has turned into much more. It is now a passion of mine and I often spend more time experimenting then I do actually going for a big yield but this time im going for both.

I have a couple weeks maybe a month to finalize my design ideas. Starting some mother plants GHS White Rhino, RQS Critical, Barneys Farm Pineapple Chunk, 1 freebie seed I got with the white rhinos dinafem kush 'N' cheese. I have 2 BF Pineapple chunk currently on week 6 of flowering that should be done by the time I need my grow tent for the moms.

I'm going to start off by listing off my goals.

- Make 8 Flowering Cabs 4ft long 2 ft wide 3 ft tall each one with 500 actual watts of CFL's
- Flowering Cabs must be stackable to maximise space
- Perpetually harvest 1 cab a week
- 1.0 gpw so anywhere around 500 grams a cab would make me really happy.

for a total of 4000 watts of lighting and hopefully (cross fingers) 9 pounds of dried buds after 8 weeks.

Basically im looking for some opinions on the stackable flower sog cab. Ive been looking at the yields in the vert section and im really impressed but its just not my style and I have a feeling these flower cabs will out do any vert grow if dialed in properly.

I know 9 pounds may seem like a lot but me and my girlfriend smoke a lot and im trying to just run this set up for 2-4 months to last us the whole year with some quality smoke.

My opinions,

Perpetual plain sucks. You don't have to lie. I mean come on, you want to run perpetual, 1 round and that's it:confused:.

Multiple Cab grows suck.

CFL's suck.

About a pound.

Perpetual keeps things fresh and makes it easier to run multiple strains in a SOG.

This multiple cab grow most defiantly will not suck.

Paying an arm and a leg for HiD's sucks.

Per cab.

Worst case scenario ill be able to pump out a serious amount of clones with my cabs

Diminishing returns dictates that you should use HID if you intend to use ACTUAL 500w of CFLs. Your heat is going I be much higher then you realize, higher then 500w of HID would generate, loads more.

Agreed. About a pound.

9lbs with 4000 watts of cfl is a ridiculously unrealistic. Maybe 9lbs with 3-5 1000 watters instead, cfls won't get 1gpw
