You guys batten down the hatches. This one looks like the real deal. There is always another season for growing weed. Keeping yourself and your families safe is job number one now.

If they say to leave, think about leaving. I've always stayed around to clean up afterword, but I'm an hour from the coast. The timing will be a big factor in storm surge, so check out the tide tables as it gets closer.

DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK
----------------------
At 500 PM AST (2100 UTC), the eye of Hurricane Florence was located
near latitude 25.4 North, longitude 61.1 West. Florence is moving
toward the west-northwest near 13 mph (20 km/h). This general motion
with an increase in forward speed is expected during the next couple
of days. A turn toward the northwest is forecast to occur late
Wednesday night. On the forecast track, the center of Florence will
move over the southwestern Atlantic Ocean between Bermuda and the
Bahamas Tuesday and Wednesday, and approach the coast of South
Carolina or North Carolina on Thursday.

Data from a NOAA Hurricane Hunter aircraft indicate that maximum
sustained winds have increased near 140 mph (220 km/h) with
higher gusts. Florence is a category 4 hurricane on the Saffir-
Simpson Hurricane Wind Scale. Further strengthening is anticipated,
and Florence is expected to be an extremely dangerous major
hurricane through Thursday.

Hurricane-force winds extend outward up to 40 miles (65 km) from the
center and tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 150 miles
(240 km).

The estimated minimum central pressure from NOAA Hurricane Hunter
aircraft data is 939 mb (27.73 inches).

HAZARDS AFFECTING LAND
----------------------
SURF: Swells generated by Florence are affecting Bermuda and
portions of the U.S. East Coast. These swells are likely to cause
life-threatening surf and rip current conditions. Please consult
products from your local weather office.

Welp- mandatory evacuations have started. My little coastal town is going crazy. No water, propane, gas...
I’ll see what I can do to them tomorrow and try to keep them safe. Worst comes to worst, they break and I can harvest what I can find.
Hope you and yours are safe. I’d love to hear how everything fared once you get back to your spot. I’m in Asheville waiting on the dumpin rains and gusty winds but it seems to have mostly died out... mountains will do that. I carted every single one of my plants into the barn for this but probably didn’t need to, derrrr *smacks forehead*

I don't think it's possible
Give me two pieces of concrete reinforcement mesh 10'x5', 16 bars of 3/4" rebar, 8' long, 100' 1/4" steel cable, and a whole roll of trellis netting. Then we might have a chance.

But it'll be the most fortified, obvious thing ever.bongsmilie
Never mind the cost.

Hey y’all- sorry haven’t been on the site, we didn’t even get a rain shower! It’s never shifted like they said it did and I never clipped them! I pray that everyone that was in the path is recovering
Thanks for all of your responses!
