Hungry.. hot.. angry..

Hey guys, I need a second option on these pics, happened right around the switch to 12/12. 3-4 days.. they look hungry, so I gave them a bit, then I was like well shit this is hot too, moved my light up. Next day, well nothing changed, no worse no better. Ok have some more food, shit lights too close. Rinse repeat.. I’m either a day away from wasting my time to correct something or they are going to respond in another 24 hrs. RDWC GH trio currently plus calimagic, prob upped ppm 2-250 past 48 sitting 750ish and the ph has been 5.7-5.8 since the last 70gal water change. Maybe coming on 2 weeks pretty quick. 80-85f light on 70 off, 40-60 RH light on off.. 1k de 600hps. 1600w about 40” away, would have to measure. I will be changing water and feeding but it’s a week away for me. Seems to be new growth and to me it looked like light stress and under fed. What gets me is the dark edge and curled under... I’m almost certain shadowed spots are darker as well. I’m more put off by the under roll edge thing.. any input would be appreciated, thanks guys.

I will add, I’m also unsure because my light feeder is showing the same, and my little guys acting as hole fillers, 2 of my plants eat whatever I put in and have been happy. 60 plus days in, all I changed was the lights.. light alone isn’t making sense to me. Little bit of streaking here and there made me think it was time for some m/b for sure. Might need more rh hitting 40s light on at worse. They sweating for sure.

Good info. How big are your plants? 750 pry be fine if your seeing good growth now.
They are pretty decent in size, lights been on for couple hours now and the edges seem to be un rolling but I might be tripping. I gave them more less a feed good enough to see improvement if they are hungry, might take bit longer with a shorter light cycle I guess too. Just a bad time to stress them if I did. Thank you for the reply, appreciate it.

Those are big I'd keep bumping feed. Very nice!
Ok thanks man, I figured it was a light/hunger issue. I think I better try and get a fresh res and nutes done sooner then later. I over did calimagic right off the start so I diluted and replaced m/g/b a couple times since and added maybe 25-30 gallons on add back, but only a couple feeds this week to see the response. I better get it done before I’m upside down. The feed last night should keep me ok for few days but after that it’s going to get tricky with that extra calmag eating my ppm room. If they look better I will prob up it another 100 ppm. That plant pictured is hard to burn but there’s one next to it that’s a pussy in comparison for tolerance. This is my first hydro run as well so I’m still new to the faster reaction to anything, I like it in comparison. Find it fix it quick. Just checked my notes in 48 hrs they got 200m 250g and 300b. The odd amounts are still to compensate for my calimagic od. I ran Lucas for most there life and just added the grow a couple weeks ago. I will be doing a full Lucas dose on this next change which will be at the 8/16 ratio and calmag and hope it works better in flower, they kept getting the nitrogen shakes prior.

When you flip them their need for feed goes through the roof. If the medium pH was off or there was just barely enough of something during veg then after flip you will see signs of shortage. It doesn't take long.

I ran #'s with your mix (M200 G250 B300) in 30 gallons and here is what I get:

M200G250B300-30gal.PNG

Seems very high in potassium and a little low on phosphorous, probably a little high on the nitrogen as well.

For comparison, here is a lucas calc with 8/16.

I’m still figuring the hydro thing, I didn’t expect them to be so demanding compared to peat, there’s 3 girls in there that are really vigorous.
May I ask what the capacity of your system is so I can run the #'s?
Im running a avg level of 70 gallons. This last batch has a 150 start I didn’t mention in my 750ppm so I’m like 1.8 ec all in but calimagic is strong I found out the hard way and it had too much just about 2 weeks ago.

Nice, the last dose was a add back, I’m trying to hold off on a res change, I have a new RO on the way this week. Appreciate you checking it out for me. I might add to the 200 micro was hardwater to still try and compensate overdoing the calmag.

Regardless of system, DWC, peat based top feed, flood and drain, coco... I never had luck with anything less than EC 2.0 in flower. I typically stay around 2.2 - 2.3.

Hard water micro? That would be a different calculation than I ran.
Yeah man, I was baked and put enough calimagic for like 120 gallons. I been compensating for it since. Only one plant burnt to any degree, I was surprised. This was almost 2 weeks ago. The hardwater is just lower calcium and I thought it would help for now. I do have both on hand. If they can hold off and improve till wed-thur, I will change it out and start Lucas again now.

I woulda just dumped the mistake mix and started over.
I know man, that’s the exact thing I kicked myself for and feared by not getting the proper ro system at the start. I really didn’t want to have to half and half my filtered with ro. I have a stealth 150 on the way now. I have enough tank storage to do a change out if there’s a next time, my current capacity would take couple days unless I added tap.

Get that PPM up to 1000 at least.
I’m at 1050 now, ph never changed, it still dances 5.7-5.8 on my monitor. I used regular micro this time, they took that calimagic like a champ. I have made a few mistakes for sure, looking forward to the second run. I’m going to end up doing a sealed room next time though, these fans blowing 24/7 are bunk. Thanks again for the advice and running those numbers, appreciate it.
