Lets discuss cloning areas, and what it takes/costs to produce hundreds of clones . Methods people are using, room setups, and costs as well. Pics would be great ! Thanks in advance.

Edit: Whats the best way to veg hundred of hydro clones before they go into flowering room? Im thinking totes?
 
yeah totes. homemade bubble cloner is the way to go. u could make a 50 site for about 30 bucks at walmart. use neoprene play mats as ur circular plugs and go to town.
 
best way/least mess would be in rubbermaid tubs maybe 50 in each (or 4 with 25)

and do it that way

air stone and a heater if ur temps r too cold..

not very expensive at all

you'll need a bunch of mothers to do it.
 
nah one big ass mom would do it. i had a mom i could have cut 50 clones off of easy. just LST the plants and all the branching will turn into cloneable tops faster than just regular vegging and topping. plus it helps save a bit of space in my opinion.
 
Never had too much success with those, the stems stay in the water correct? They turn soft and fall apart easily after a few days.. Tried the aero cloner also, had great sucess first run then 50% from then on.. cleaned it out well everytime, changed water every few days. The squirters kept getting clogged every few days, headache. Gave up on that method the 50% ratio wasnt working for me. Whats the secret ?!
 
I personaly just cant clone to save my life lol no joke I dont know what it is but they just die on,me. But my buddie takes 99+ off two moms every two to three weeks.

all rooted after 8 days. have had 100 percent root rate so far. the stems will turn all soft before the roots start expanding and growing. it sheds the outer shell just before sprouting normally. gets kinda soft. plus cloning gel helps with a rooting concentrate. added some orca "beni bacteria" and they root every time.

for some reason i could add text to pics. the tub holds 24 spots. i ordered the pucks online. they were a bit pricey but they fit good. if u make this the biggest tip i can give ya is to NOT burnishur 2 inch holes. u remove 2 much material and ur puks wont stick unless u put a stem in it to expand and lok in. keep ur water clean and have extra sprayers on hand they quit working. i like the ones that have a spinner top on em. they diffuse the water real well. the pump was like 30 bucks. i think the pump i have is a 400 gph. anything smaller wont work. i put 5 sprayewrs per side and one in the h. 11 sprayers total. . most pumps come with adapters to fit diff applications. so 1/2 od pvc will hook up.

the cups work well just put a couple sm holes in the top and they will grow well. if their final rest is in 5 gal buckets.. hope this helps ya outDSC00319.jpg

Great Value brand 3 oz bath cups (buy at walmart)
Clonex

Take a drill and drill a hole in the bottom of the bath cups about as wide as a pencil. The cups are white, so you can sharpie the strain name on them. Then you just take your clone, dip it in clonex, put the clone in the rapid rooter, the rapid rooter in the 2" net pot and the 2" net pot in the cup with the hole. Then you put these in the mesh nursery trays, then you put the nursery trays in an ebb and flow table.

Really simple, the only trick is to use the bath cups - if you just use net pots, the roots will quickly grow together. You might also want to build the ebb and flow table instead of buying it, otherwise you loose a lot of space, because you can't put nursery trays on the sloped slides.

A nursery tray *should* hold 50 net pots, but with the cups, they hold 46. You end up with about 23 clones per square foot.

why dont u just rock air stones instead of the sprayers. i use just airstones and they never stop working or clog. just raise the water level until they are submerged. the air stones will do the rest.

thanks man sounds like a good idea. do they hook to the pcv or aquarium tubing? and in a tub that siz how many would i need and what size. thanks wheels
 
Not hundreds but in this system I cab get 96 out of this setup. But it's the second smallest.

thats the same system Ive had problems with ! First run was great. After that shitty success ratio. I cleaned it thoroughly ,changed water every few days , and Sprayers got clogged, and about 1/3 was rooting.

You had the turboklone? I've only had 1 go bad in almost 2 years. Hundreds of clones. I don't change water till rooted. Also run with florakleen and h2o2 for 3 days after cleaning. New system everytime.
