the water cant just sit there. it has to be moving. if u have a small fountain or something, that would work great.

buy a cheap humidifier. look, this one only costs 30 bucks and i bet you could find one cheaper.

I picked up a cheap rock fountain for $8 and it works great. Like the idea because I can clean the fountain and rocks with a bleach solution so I know that it is clean. All you need is a little tiny one. Can put it on a timer too. Can pick them up used (for a few dollars) and clean totally with bleach.

i like the rock fountain idea. it seems like the sound would be really relaxing. maybe i'll pick one up this week

haha awesome. my cat's name is Orpheus lol.. it's an odd name, after the greek tale of that guy Orpheus who went to the underworld to save his wife, only he wasn't supposed to look back, but he did on accident, and then she disappeared. it's a sad story.

actually i did some thinking about that and figured the cheapest to use is a oven sheet, with an half inch water on it. has a big surface to it, the volume which has to get temperated is small and those things are in every home to find
