Humidity

Newbie here, I have a grow tent 3x3x6, 4" exhaust with carbon filter, 2 circulating fans. I bought 2 different Dehumidifiers (getting refunds) temp average 68-82 degrees. Humidity 64-74%. both dehumidifiers on got humidity down to only 60-72%, hence the refunds. A/C is out of the question. Don't know what else to do.

average around 68%
Yeah, so, what I figure is happening here is that your little dehumidifiers are struggling to keep the entire room at a lower humidity. You're sucking in 68% RH air into the tent constantly to replace air you're trying to dehumidify.

You either need to dehumidify the air in the entire room, or add heat to reduce the humidity. You already said A/C is out, so your options are severely limited.

Are you exhausting back into the room? If you are, then that is your problem. If you aren't then it sounds like you live in an area with high humidity and the only real option would be to dehumidify the room the tent is in or put in an AC.

That whole Hawaii location was a crucial piece of information. I second what everyone else is saying. Sounds like u need a closed loop system, or sealed tent to keep whatever you have outside the tent out. In that case cO2 would help u immensely as u could get away with slightly higher temps. But trying to dehumidify an entire room would take a nice sized dehumidifier, and that room would need to be sealed as well to prevent anything from getting in. Specific locations can wreak havoc on a grow set up, especially one that’s high in humidity. The humidity you are experiencing right now isn’t necessarily a bad thing because you are in veg, but once flowering hits, it’s a completely different ball game. Although you can still flower with slightly higher humidity, it’s just takes lots of moving air to prevent molding issues and stale air. Fans and exhaust can take care of that pretty well.

Update: do I decided to grow outside. Humidity is at 94% at night. Lots of trade winds. I built a small screened it greenhouse. Think will use grow tent to veg and flower outside.
Good idea, but to be honest, once there's enough sunshine per day that won't induce flowering, I'd put them out to finish veg, too. You won't regret it. If you do this, ensure you're on an 18/6 (or even lower) light schedule, so they don't flower when you put them out. You can find the sunrise/set times for your area easily online. Match up the light cycle to when you want to put them out for vegging.

One more idea.. make the dog chain longer, so that he'll have the leeway to eat people who go near that grow room ;)

Hey I’m also having trouble with humidity possibly and heat maybe in my grow tent. Its a 2 and 1 tent but using the the tent as one whole with out 2n1 put up. I can get it to run around 55%-60% humidity. The 55-57 is around 80-82 degrees F i just switched over to flower I’m 3days in. I know you want the humidity usually around that 50 mark I think but I thought you wanted the temperature about 78 or so.. if anyone could help I’d appreciate it thanks

You're ok, dont worry. Be sure to have plenty of airflow below the canopy.

When you have a chance, read about VPD here
