Humidity vs Air Exchange

It is highly recommended with CM to keep humidity down at 40%. My grow space is roughly 10x6. I am running a big 8amp dehumidifier, ac window unit for temp and intake air, air is vented out using a 8 in inline fan that goes through a carbon filter at the end expelling outside of the room. All this to say I can't get my humidity to be lower than 45‰. Currently it fluctuates between 46-50%. Am I moving to much air? Is their such a thing? Help!

Never too much air flow if you ask me. 46-50% is good I wouldn't worry about it too much. What are you reading your R/H with? Most units have a built in +- of 5% accuracy or so. Winter is coming so I wouldn't worry too much. JAS

I have 4 or 5 different cheap analog and digital eh/temp gauges. They might be the problem 2. Not a one out of the lot says the same thing as another. They are all wrong. Think I'll set them outside today and see what ones match what my local forecast says.

Meters are just a gauge of condition. Your girls will show you if its too humid, dry or hot. Just have to know the signs, which takes a little time and practise. You'll get it... JAS

Slower than normal growth or water uptake but still looks good, The leaves just aren't standing at attention and she just doesn't look prime or as good as you remember. You have to use your senses also, how is it first thing in the morning in there, mid day, just before lights out. If you have a de-humidifier set it to 35% and let her dry out the whole room, it will do the work for you. JAS

the humidity level is fine when the lights are on, only a little over. what you need to watch is the morning dew point during the dark period, that is the point when the surrounding air temperature becomes low enough to make airborne evaporated water vapour, start to turn back to water again and it gets very heavy and starts to build up, hence the wetness in the mornings in the summer time, best way to combat this if no dehumidifier is to keep temps around 18-20c during the dark period, helps to stop the plants stretching for the light too.
