Humidity problem

Hi there, ive got an annoying humidity problem. My hygrometer is saying thats theres less than 30% rh in the grow tent, but i dont know how to increase it.My boys are only 2weeks in, from clone and ive read the humidity should be around 60% for optimum growth? Saying this they seem to be going alright. Ive got one 600w hps and an exhaust fan at top of tent. No intake fan. I just use passive intake which ive been told is good enough (gaps at bottom of tent). Ive also got a little oscillating fan blowing over the plants whilst the light is on, to mix the air and try and cool plants down a bit.

Also got a slight temp issue, when i first started i couldnt get the temp below 35 celsius, but thats because i kept the window shut. im now keeping window open most of the day and have managed to get the temp down to 28 celsius. Cant get it any cooler tho. However my mate told me to lower my light to about a foot and half above them whereas i had it at 2foot previously. The half foot change has made the temp near the plants rise to 31Celsius. Ive read that 600w lamps should be at least 2foot away anyway, so can someone please give me some advice on these issues they are crazing me!

Buy a humidifier or mister, and I wouldn't call them boys, unless you want pollen. You want them to be your girls :blsmoke:

What types of lights are you using? if its CFLs they should be about 2-4 inches from the plants. otherwise they will stretch out and fall over

...low RH has never been a problem for me, it's high RH druing bloom that you must be concerned about. I wouldn't worrie about the low humidity.

Yea i was thinkin bout a humidifier but wouldnt the moist air just get sucked straight out of the exhaust anyway? im probably just being over cautious, im guessing as long as ive got the temperature ok then all should be fine?

Yea i typed boys without thinking, whoops!

Ive got 1 lamp, a 600w high pressure sodium. Use it for the whole plant growth from clone to harvest. Its a pretty powerful light though! kicks out a fair bit of heat. Ive only got 2 plants, each in their own hydro drip feed tub with clay pebbles.
