Humidifier cant keep up

Recently set up a new AC Infinity 4x4 Tent with 6inch AC Infinity Inline and Carbon. My Humidifier cant seem to keep up with the inline fan's air exchange. Im still in early veg with only a couple plants atm that are nice and healthy but cant seem to get humidity over 50% with the Humidifier on full blast. The plants were originally started in my closet while I waited for the tent and had no trouble raising the closet (and the entire room) to humidity levels of 70%+ on its lowest setting. Any tips or advice please?

Well the fan speed is already down to 3/10. Which barely keeps me around 82 F. I have to keep the tents overall room relatively warm to keep the sliding glass doors from overly condensating, which would lead to mold eventually.

Sounds like your getting it tuned in. This is the part where you check each piece of equipment and or adjust them one by one to figure out how you can tweak it to work.

There are a bunch of small things that can make a big difference. Hopefully your Exhausting from the top of your enclosure If too much heat is an issue. If it’s the opposite, you can switch it. Then you could turn fan down lower.

You could also attempt to cool the room the enclosure is in, to help with running exhaust lower. A game changer I think would be to set up the fan to a humidity controller or temp controller, so it shuts on and off as needed.

I don’t use humidifiers, I use wet bath towels spread wide. Works surprisingly well and can dip it in a bucket of water for some extended life.

Get a 24 hour timer in 15 min increments. Set it up to the controller on the AC Infinity and run the exhaust every 15 minutes. It'll fluctuate, decrease when it kicks on (85%-45%), increase when its off(45%-90%). You can combat the fluctuations and find a happy medium by opening up vents on the tent allowing a better natural intake of fresh air.

Plants don't like constant/large fluctuations in humidity and temps, so be careful

Thank you all for inputs. I dont have any heat issues. The AC blower even at lowest settings handles the heat surprisingly well, even with the room at upwards of 80F. Only the humidity reaching high enough... Maybe the actual AC Infinity controller 67 is more useful than I originally thought. it seems like that could work as a similar potentiometer, problem is, short of turning the AC Blower off, its already down to basically its lowest settings.

VEG you want humidity to be 50-60%
FLOWER you want humidity to be 40-45% mainly to avoid mold/mildew

Your humidity isn't getting high in the tent probably due to the carbon scrubber absorbing most of the humidity being pumped into the tent. I would see how they respond without a humidifier.

Would you guys consider 50-60% RH during early veg to be sufficient? at 81F ?
Yes I run my VEG at 50-55% humidity 80-82 °F no problem. I'm actually dehumidifying the space. I'm using LEDs but I've had success in the same room with T5 Fluorescents. Purple stems on this pic is normal, it's genetics Creamsicle tends to get the candy cane effect even when feeding as high as 2.0 EC

Nice bush you have there! Thats something very interesting ive never thought about... Carbon absorbing Humidity. It almost sounds somewhat damaging to the filter.

I don't think it damages the filter because I've been using the same filters on my curing rooms intake & exhaust for 2 years and they work great still. I did have a carbon filter smell chemically after I painted my basement and left it running with the fumes... Had to throw that one out..

I've learned Carbon Filters even the Phresh ones with "thicker carbon beds" seem to only last 1 year max though before performance declines and you get an "off" smell from the filter.

I hope so because it's the best I can get in winter here. So far they're doing okay. These started terribly. Stretched. Falling over. Transplanted at a week and under the big light at average 250 PPF. These are 4 weeks out of the dirt. IMG_20211226_095329.jpg

That’s about where I keep my plants in veg PPFD wise. Glad to see im normal! I always thought I was running them low compared to others on the forums.
