And re pic no. 2, you have a magnesium deficiency as well. the banding on those lower leaves is pretty distinctive. They'll start dying and curling up soon if you don't treat with cal-mag or epsom salt.

lol. Don't season your potatoes with epsom salts. It's magnesium sulfate. You can buy it in any drug store for 2 dollars. Nice for soaking sore feet. But added to your watering or used as a foliar spray it will prevent premature loss of fan leaves during flowering. Cal-mag, Magical, Magpro, etc are all trade names for calcium-magnesium supplements you can buy at grow shops. MJ uses a lot of those two elements, particularly during the first weeks of flowering, so deficiencies like yours are quick to show up around weeks 4 onward.. I don't recall off the top of my head how much is called for (like a tablespoon/gallon watered in, but don't quote me on that ) but it will fix that issue and help you grow better bud. Epsom Salt is a good thing.

Raising the light is the right thing to do.

Looks like your in soil, so you have some buffers. What kind of pH are you watering with? Also, what are you watering with? Nutes, or just what's in the soil? Is this problem just on the top new growth, or is it on old growth as well? Need more info. 3" under a 400w hps is definitely too close. No matter the temp, it will cause light bleaching. Believe it or not, there is such a thing as too much of a good thing, and light is one of them.

We need to know more about your setup, and how you've been growing thus far, etc.

I don't know guys. I say give more info. Looking at pic 2: You have some claw, some droopage, some brown spots and some yellowing on the bottom. That's a lot of symptoms...

You need to do some more research bud. This is my second run and i can tell you that you need to place your hand under the light for a few seconds if it gets warm its to close. Also the epson salt is Magnesium-Sulfate. Its good for your plants. Go buy a PH meter ($10) and make sure you PH the water to like 6.0 when you feed.
I think if you surf around on the site you can answer of of these yourself.
good luck
