Hi, I'm thinking about purchasing this DWC system:

This is for my first grow, so I'm not sure if this would work for growing ganja.

Would it work for growing/flowering 8 small plants?

Put your money into lights and nutes and seeds. You can buy a tote and make your own cheap, and it will be better. There are plenty of models around here. You can scale it to grow a larger number of small plants or a few big ones. The link below gives some info on the simplest way to operate it. Are you planning to start from seeds?

No, I already have some seedlings growing in soil which I want to turn into mother plants. I'm going to use the DWC for clones.

He was suggesting than rather spending your money on an over priced system like that one you could make one for much cheaper with a plastic tub.

Yeah, I was going to make my own, but my grow area is very height restricted (4 ft) with a 400 watt hps, and I can't find a reservoir that is less than a foot high that holds the amount of water I need.

how many plants are u using that tub is probally only 2 ft tall if that. And i only payed like 5 bucks for it at walmart. Its really easy to build your owned your going to be kicking yourself if you spend that much money on that. Do a little research really all you need is a tub,nutes,air hoes, air stone or stones or even a round disc or an air block, air pump, rock wool and net pots . You can get good combo prices for wool and net pots from ebay for at least 20 bucks i bought 50 rock wool cubes for like 8 bucks off of ebay and and its groden.

Im putting together a 15 bucket ebb and grow system..600 bucks online plus shipping....I just ordered all the parts and ended up spending a little more than half of that.....Start small and cheap brotha...once you got a harvet or two under your belt you can upgrade...by then im sure youll have an idea of what you want...I started with 4 x 8 Trays....Did a "few" harvest and realized, I dont like not being able to move my plants around if need be, plus Im trying to grow little trees not big plants...And here we go.....I think I paid total for air stone,walmart tub,pump,tubing,silicone gel,and a few parts...30 bones bro.....

focus your money particularly if its limited to lights, air circulation, nutrients, hell you can grow in anything...think outside the box..
