I figured I would start up a new journal to document my first grow using my new Timber DIY Kit

Timber 200w Citizen CLU048 1212 4 Cob diy kit no frame hanging from ratchet hangers.

4 ft x4 ftx 6.5 ft Apollo horticulture Tent

4 in Active Air 165 cfm inline fan
6 in x 16 in Phresh filter
10 ft of flex ducting
2 x old fans for air movement

2x HSO Bubba's Gift Seeds(Fem)

Small solo cups(for start)
5 gal Smart Pots
50% Happy Frog and 50% pure Coco
BAS Nutrient Craft Blend(ground to fine powder)
BAS Dried EWC(ground to fine powder)
BAS Agsil16H Potassium Silicate
Navitas Naturals Organic Coconut Water Powder
Botanicare CALMAG
Filtered water (6.6-7.0 ph)
General hydroponics PH Down
Karanja and Neem cake(ground to fine powder)
BAS pure Neem Oil

Don't mind the center plants those were already grown under Platinum P300.
The Bubba's Gift was planted Jan 15 2017 and sprouted Jan 19 2017. This will actually be my 6th time growing so bare with me. The four other solo cups you see are some veggies I'm trying to grow.

Ooooh. I love the dream. I wanted those but my seedbank was out. I can't wait to see those.

My two plants in the middle are Barneys farm Ayahuasca Purple. I'm gonna veg them under the timbers then flower them in my other tent under the P300. Unless I get another kit in the near future(tax return).

Looks good. Can you show a pic of how you hung them up. Im buying the same kit and dont have the skills to build a frame. Are the 4 cobs enough light for the space ypu have ? Cause that dan dude said i should go with 300w for my space. 52x32x46.

@Bechnutnascar see below don't want to fill @MasterMiller grow log with to much talky talk lol but you get the picture. This is Timber's numbers sure they are close or someone would be calling them out. You would need two in a 4.5' x 2.5' area to get those numbers. Also I would look for a space with more height unless you want short girls and that's ok.

COVERAGE AREA:

24" x 24" to 30" x 30" @ 12-18" above canopy

PPFD @ 24" x 24" = 1200

PPFD @ 30" x 30" = 765

It's gonna sound funny but I bought picture hanging loops that you screw to the back of picture frames. I used the two tapped holes on the side of the heat sinks and 2 of 4 Allen screws that were provided on the heat sink to mount them to each side. I then cut 16in strings of para cord to make a loop. I used 1 ratcheting light hanger per cob. I had everything except the picture loops. When I get home I'll take close up pics.
If you zoom in you can see how I set up the cobs.

@MasterMiller seems like a great way to test your light configuration. I can be clumsy sometime and would destroy that lol catch a wire trip and bring it all down.

I hear you. I ended up wrapping the wire around a pvc pipe to coil the wire so they weren't just dangling around.

Thanks for the pic. That helps me alot. Going with the 300w citizen.

I was afraid of that too but so far no issues. I kind of bumped them a few times already. I like having the flexibility of moving each cob so I can maximize the coverage of each cob instead of a whole unit.

Whats the heat like in your set up?

I'm only running the cobs at about 50 to 60% and the tent hasn't gotten over 75. I want to also say that one 4in 165cfm fan bumped down to about 90cfm is my intake and exhaust fan for two tents. The tent runs about 3 to 4 degrees above ambient room temp but that's using a crappie temp/hygrometer from wally world.

Hopefully this gives you a better ideal.

@MasterMiller how are you liking those tents? thinking about switching from Gorilla Grow as the only advantage now is stronger material. Everything else they do that other companies don't isn't important in a legal state.... Great my tent has thermal protection, cops cant get a warrant from thermal scans were I live anyways useless. I do like the heavy material except when first installing. Like a fat girl trying to get in skinny jeans... Haven't seen a vivosun tent in person the other tents I have seen in person that are not gorilla seem cheap and like I would rip the material. Literally tripped and fell into my 5x5 the other night and bounced off lol.

For a hundred bucks each not bad. A few small tiny holes but who cares as long as there isn't intense light beaming on the tent. I wanted to go gorilla but they are pricey as hell. I know it's worth it but I'm too cheap. I ended up spending extra on lights.

I have a couple gorilla's and only thing better about them is the fat poles and extensions. The zippers and Velcro fux up after a while. You made right choice investing extra in the lights. I wouldn't buy gorilla again I would get a cheap one and whip out the black tape..

yeah i think the apollo tents are 400D vinyl exterior, the cheapest 600D oxford cloth (like a super thick carhartt jacket) tents are Milliard and Vivosun, i just got a vivosun, lotta pinholes need to be fixed, im wishing i bought the milliard because it has little bit more room being a 50x50x79 and looks like a better door design plus its a few dollars cheaper, the cheap ones are pretty similiar, the poles are all the same thickness, design basically the same, but look for the material its made out of and the thickness, it its not listed it usually means its not the greatest IME, all the tents, even gorilla tents are gonna have some light leaks from stitching or whatever, a little black silicone to the outside of the tent where the pinholes are works awesome, for the zippers i might just tape another flap over the inside so it better covers zippers

It's hard to find a good tent that will last. I used to like growlab, but their zippers are junk. I bought one 4 years ago, and every 6 months zippers would break, they replace them but still cost 50 to ship back. How do you like your citzen, I can't make mind up between vero or citizen.I'm using nothing but gorilla 5x5's with 1ft and 2ft extensons now ( every tent has pin holes). With the extra height I was told the veros would be a better fit. Just trying to get someone's advice

Why dont you guys just build your own rooms ? Just wondering. I have a 4x2x4 tent i used for 1 week and took it down. Didnt like it. It was colder then the room i was using and i couldnt fit all my 8 plants in it. I paid $20 used from a friend. It did work out great for a drying room thou.
