I'm thinking about getting a HPS light, does anyone know about what it would cost to run a 1000w HPS for 18/6 per montH?

Here's a link with the info you need:

Grow Light Operating Cost - Greentrees Hydroponics

I have a link to this page in my signature...along with a few more links you may find useful. Good luck.

BTW you'll need to know how much you pay per kilowatt hour per month.

I pay 17.5cents per kilowatt hour.

Thats about average from what I hear. For you....at that rate....a 1000w HPS light would cost you about $107 (give or take a couple bux) per month to run.

Hey tokinkracker,Heres the math.KILOWATTS, wattsxhours=total watts per day, divide total watts per day by 1000=total killowatts per day, multiply the killowatts days x the cost per killowatt to get the total cost per day.Killowatts per day x 30 days = cost per month. 1000x 18 =18000, 18000 divided by 1000 =18.killowatts per day, multiply 18. x your cost of a killowatt = cost per day.cost per day x 30 days = cost per month. Cost per killowatt hour is on your electric bill. Hope that helps.PEACE
