Photons are photons. I still maintain and operate all three major styles of lights and have found they all serve their purpose at certain times.
Want to do a winter grow in a cold basement, bust out the HPS. You have young clones that need low light and some moderate heat, time to use the T5. Just vegging out a bunch of plants run, a nice efficient LED setup.

Btw - hps don't need to improve as it delivered and still deliver fire smoke, why improve a winning machine ?

Like I said.... tube tvs were all the rage at one time too.

more proof (scientific, not feelings) that LED is far superior using measurable data compared to a street light

As for chemical profile, lab results showed the following differences:

Strain GSC
Under HPS grow lights:
Total THC %: 25.17
Total Cannabinoids %: 28.67
Total Terpenes %: 1.31

Under LED grow lights:
Total THC %: 30.11
Total Cannabinoids %: 34.26
Total Terpenes %: 1.51

Total THC %: 15.91
Total Cannabinoids %: 18.17
Total Terpenes %: 2.09

Under LED grow lights:
Total THC %: 21.79
Total Cannabinoids %: 24.72
Total Terpenes %: 2.64

The fourth strain tested was Bruce Banner. The lab results there will come as no surprise.
Under HPS grow lights:
Total THC %: 21.89
Total Cannabinoids %: 24.96
Total Terpenes %: 1.15

Under LED grow lights:
Total THC %: 24.03
Total Cannabinoids %: 27.24
Total Terpenes %: 2.20
