Hps vs cfl

Am I going to get more yield with a hps than cfl that makes it worth the work?

Supposed to... Im trying it now. Just installed 2 150 watt HPS lights in my grow box. Only been a couple weeks so I haven't seen a difference yet.

Wow this is like comparing a Lamborghini to a Honda. Of course it will higher foliage penetration, More intense light, More lumens per square ft. and Much much more.

hps yields better and more dense nugs too. cfl's will work but they are not the best choice. the extra cost of the hps will make up for itself in yield

unless you want to get 20 CFL's and figure out to plug all of them in around your plant, get an HPS.

I just switched from about 600 watts of CFL's and tubes to a 430w HPS.

The grow room is WAAAY brighter and my light meter has nearly double the light on every point of the plant that I had before, less wattage, and less heat. It has only been about 4 days and the buds have exploded in size.

I would never go back to CFL's after getting the HPS except for maybe seedlings.

Thanks everyone, someone got me a 400 watt hps setup for free all I have to do is make a shield and ventilation for the bulb. I was wondering if it was worth the effort so thanks again for the quick reply.
