HPS vs CFL seeking input

I am using 4 42w CFLs (8800 Lumens) currently but thinking about going to HPS (70w), I found one for 70.00, my question is how much heat does HPS generate compared to CFLs. I understand my results should be better in the end with HPS.

Hey buddy, you'll need to ventilate for sure. One point you got wrong....that word "should" has no right to be in that sentence. It will be better!

Having said that, if you got $70.00 for a hps light, save and come up with $50.00 more dollars for a total of $120.00 ahd buy a 430 watt at High Tech Garden Supply

There won't be a lot of difference in heat output between 168w of cfl's and a 70w HPS, if anything the HPS will put out less heat than the 168w of cfl's.

Thanks... thats what I was wondering....I only have a small stealth cab (3 ftx2 ftx16 inches) and have it cooled/vented for CFLs and did not want to change cooling/fans if I upgraded to HPS, also 70-100 watt should be sufficent for my 2 ladies.
