Hps hid mh ???? 12/12

My friend has a few sprouts going and not much time left on his lease. He is thinking about moving to a 12/12 cycle from 18/6 CFLs. Should he get HPS, or what?

How many watts would be groovy for 5 sprouts? The more the merrier?

400w would do it.

Depends how big you want them, 400 would cover some decent sized plants, if you wanna have a smaller opp a 250 is ok too, if you wanna have em 18-20 inches at harvest.

hps is great, but not the only way. the time is the same more or less no mater the light.

the more light the more and better product from each plant.

this is a 430 watt hps with some cfl's. the plants are a 12/12 from seed at day 68.

For lighting a all round veg/flowering h.p.s can not be beat,Great allround lighting system.

True, but the mh is hands down the best for veg.

Any word on LEDs?

At this point LED's seem to be a waste of time. Imo
