Alright here is my situation...I have been using cfl's for a while now. I am now looking for some hps's to put in my closet grow. I wanted to get it at lowes or somewhere like that any suggestions would be helpful.
 
Go to google maps or mapquest and look up your nearest Hydroponics store. They should carry everything that you need for your whole grow.
 
i am in the same situation, considering HPS. checked my local hydroponic store and found it was more expensive locally compared to online sites, but at least you know what you get there in the store. online is sometimes risking getting scammed or switched with some other product hoping you won't notice.
 
i ordered roughly 65 pounds of equip. including a 400w hps system, nutes, grow medium, containers for 35$ shipping online
