So sorry you had to swallow your pride. I don't base the quality of bud off of pictures, but hey, maybe I've got a better sense for how to properly assess the quality of cannabis than you do. I don't think a picture really does much.

No pride swallowed. People starting talking half the watts same yield same/better quality, so i tried it. Less heat so i tried it. Dropped a couple grand and lost. Whats your story? You don't even grow anymore and you are trying to give advice.

I could touch my bare bulb 1000 by mistake and not burn myself back in the day, then again I had a 20 inch box fan on hi like less than a foot away from it

lost how? I went from 2.2kw hps to 1.1kw QB and had similar yield great quality.

With HPS and a super strain I got 4lbs. With double the plants in the same space with HPS I got the exact same yield. So I am sold. QB are better during months when supplemental heating is not required.

4lbs is still good numbers for 2kw hps.
I'm looking forward to my current runs numbers I've def got it more dialed than I have in a while but I'm confident it WONT be 2 lbs from the 1kw. My goal is 1.5 from my 5x5 for a summer run with no co2 but my light is fully raised up an too close to my canopy so I think its gonna stunt my buds
only 8-10 inches at any point from glass to canopy and it's only week 3 flower so I'm a little worried to be honestThe trunk has got to be bigger than a beer can already tho so that's something at least

I run 8x4. 1.1kw QBs 2x260xl and 1x600h. Can't speak for your leds but QB can be 10 inches no prob as long as it isn't the 600h. Just pinch them and grow them horizontally.4lbs is still good numbers for 2kw hps.

Yield, well it depends on number of plants or veg time etc etc. i run 30 plants, 3 weeks veg.
Oh shoot i think you were talking about hps being 10 inches. Well that is ok as long as you can keep the heat down. Pinch the stem and let the buds grow horizontal if they are too close.

That exact fox tailing is what I'm talking about when i say "lost". Yea hps has its fox tailing but nothing like QB's do. Takes the quality right out of everything. Doesn't even compare to hps grown bud. Atleast mine did not.

That has to do with the bud being laid down flat by pinching the stem as it was too close to the light and that particular phenotype lol. This is from the same room, I had 5 phenos going, that particular pheno when laid down did that. Anyways the rest of them did not do that, it was a phenotype response to being laid flat . These were 5 weeks, they didn't do that, same table, same strain, same weed, same batch.

Dude at least show us all the dried bud pics. We all got week 4 pics. Dump it all out show us. Is all that top shelf bud to you? I already know you are a good gardener thats not the point. The point is this new LED tech is no where near what hps is doing in quality. Don't take it the wrong way man, I yielded a bunch of shit bud also using "new tech LED".

I don't have to prove anything to anyone other than myself. And I am super happy with the quality, density, etc., it's off the charts man. I will pull one of those bags out and show you some pics when I get a minute to do so man, you will not be disappointed! I certainly was not. And I saved 100$ a month, no sacrifice on quality. I smoke a LOT so I would only be cheating myself man if I was lying!
