HPS bulbs recommendations

I've got 3 grows on my 600W Xtrasun HPS and MH bulbs and it might be time to change them out. Is about 3-4 grows the lifespan of bulbs? Bought them at the local grow store for $60 each. Sadly my 2 local stores in the Boston area closed; I guess it's hard to compete with Amazon or maybe the market is just that thin... dunno.
On Amazon, I'm seeing a big price difference on bulbs. For example, Vivosun HPS at the bottom or the price range ~$15/bulb vs. the other end of the spectrum (see what I did there) Eye Hortilux at about $100/bulb. I don't know if it makes a difference but I have an air cooled fixture with an Xtrasun 600W electronic ballast; will all bulbs fire with this ballast? Is the extra cost of Eye Hortilux or Ushio worth it?
Edit, one more question... For veg, I was using a 10000K bulb. Would a 4200K be a better choice?
Any suggestions are hugely appreciated.

If your ballast is rated for 600W, you need a 600W lamp. As far as spectrum 4200K is better than 10000K for flower. I've read that 2800K is best for flower, so if you're doing veg and flower with that lamp, go with 4200K or lower. Someone else probably has better spectrum advise. But as far as wattage, run the lamp the Ballast is listed for.
