Any Hps is better than a CFL. thre only problem i see is heat issues if you have a small air cooled hood with proper ventilation you could pull it off. post some pictures of where you are thinking about growing.

Shhiit the box is not over yet , but my only issue is that heat, how close plant can be from 100w or 70 w hps , (http://www.gib-lighting.de/index.php/fs-hps.70.html)
is 7 inches from lamp to close ? what s yours expirience with 100 w or 70 hps ?

Never have used anything that small i use 1000's. now that i think about it i think your area is too small 7 inches is a start to disapate the heat but realistically if you are looking to grow some weed that will get you high your 70w light is not enough you will get about a 8th for all your time/money/effort you are going to put in this. and the heat problem will drive you mad.

I don't think it'd be worth it, especially if you'd have to buy a ballast as well. When it comes to those size grows, CFL is the way to go, like dakushman said.Similar threads
