If you get led make sure it has it’s white or has white lights with blue and purple. That’s what I got. It’s doing really well. You cant pull more than 220w from your wall plug so the led says some ridiculous wattage output but it still draws the max it can (220) from the wall so it’s decent, it was around 450. Shit light my whole room at night. I have no experience on hps so I won’t say which is better. This is just what I did. LED also saves 10x more money. Most efficient.

Most breakers are at 15 amps supplying 120 volts, or approximately 1800 watts. The next breaker size is 20 amps supplying 120 volts or approximately 2400 watts. Just an FYI.

oh shit sorry my bad I smoked a bit too much this morning haha idk where I got 220 from... wait so i might be wrong about my light. Could possibly pull even more watts then.

So even if i got 2 lights with an output of 300w each the MOST it will pull from the wall is still 220 ish? Or is that per light?

dougs post is spot on for the max on most home outlets. all your regular outlets will be at least 15 amp but they loop a bunch of outlets together so you have to know what each device on that "loop" is pulling.
If you have a dedicated outlet with nothing else ran on it then 1500 watts is a safe guess to run off of it.
If you do not know if the outlet is "dedicated" then its a bit more confusing but i'll try.....
Most of todays electricians will put one whole room on a circuit. So every plug in that room is on the same breaker and looped together. That "room" has a total of 1500 watts to share with each outlet.
If you plug in a 1000w light then that leaves you with about 500 watts to play with , in that room. so you plug in about 4 or 500 watts of fans and other crap and your maxed out. If you were to run another light to THAT room , then you would need to plug into another room or the breaker would pop.

i hope that makes sense....im baked.

Hahah bro my brothers an electrician and this made just as much sense to me as what he was telling me about my light when we were trynna get the best light for my plant. That’s why I’m a plumber not an electrician lol shit don’t make sense to me.

Congrats on the upgrade. There will be kinks you have to work out when you change up equipment or grow areas. Your expansion will continue with your success, its good to figure out electricity early.

If two rooms share a wall there is a chance you could have 2 circuits in the one room. If you are in a trailer try to grow in the farthest bedroom from the kitchen, it usually has its own circuit and shares a wall with a bathroom or bedroom that is on a different circuit. In my experience of hood living in Michigan, anyway.

Almost all trailers are the same. Master bedroom in back, kitchen and living room in front. A room or two in between the living room and the master. The toilet is always "at the end of the hall on the left"

Thanks bruh I’m growing one plant at a time rn trying to figure out growing in general. I’m a good gardener but growing weed inside is a whole new ball game. We only get about 2 1/2-3 months growing weather here. So I figured it’s worth it to go inside. My brother said not to plug anything else in my room besides the fan. But idk if I’ll be able to also run a carbon filter as well when it’s time for flowering. My brother will know tho. I have some time until flowering anyway.
