i am considering going with a large rubbermade 55g heavy duty tote, an iwaki md 70 or aquatek 6800, and my own high pressure lines and fittings with a regulator and possibly accumulator. The nutriets would be recycled tothe botton of the tote, letting the ends of the plant's roots feed in the DWC type bottom.
Is it cheaper to find all the individual parts for the settup or buy a kit from multiponics? $300. Are there any cheaper kits around? Maybe even everything minus the pump. Im looking at options.
My other option is to use a low pressure pump with ezclone sprayers. I kinda like the idea of high pressure, though.
Are there any good threads with plans to build a mist system in a tote for a reasonable price? $300 from multiponics aint too bad, but Im open to other ideas. Would pvc with misters screwed in be okay? Could the pvc hold? or should I go with high psi water line?
